Green Valley Country Club
About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Terrible Condition
I would understand if it was try but this course is overrun with weed in fairways, rough and green. St. Augustine has taken root and is running wild. Green are in consistent and diseased. Will not play here again or recommend.
Hey guys,
While I love the concept and layout of GV, we we won't be back until conditions improve. There are products on the market that very successfully control weeds in the fairways (Idazaflam) and on the greens (oxydiazinon). This property would benefit greatly with applications made in January and throughout the growing season. Best of luck to you.

Good Round/Great Employee
Played Saturday, May 9th with a foursome. Booked on GolfNow. Arrived to find out I booked for the wrong day. Maureen at the front desk took great care of me. Changed my reservation, got me in only 12 minutes after my tee time was supposed to be for the next day. Pace of play was good. Course was good. Snack bar was closed which was a bummer because we wanted a beer but fully understand with what's going on in the world today. Will definitely be back, if for no other reason than Maureen and her excellent service.
Not informed
The course was being airated and the back 9 was closed without being informed of this information. Poor way to do business
Good value course
Overall not bad for the price. Some of the holes were made much more complicated from not being able to tell the fairway from the rough and with the elevation changes no idea where the holes were but tee boxes and greens were in very good shape. Never saw any other golfers on the course. The general man at the pro shop was very friendly
Unhappy today 5/11/2020
Just played here 5/5/2020 had a great time. Booked today last week…driving up we noticed how empty the parking lot was because last week the lot was quite full. We also noticed that 2 golf carts blocking the path to the first tee, so we thought the carts were the people at the driving range. When I went to go into the office there was a sign on the door stating that the front 9 were being aerated. I was upset because I wasn’t notified on GolfNow about the aeration. If I had known about the aeration I wouldn’t have played there. When looking for a course, I noticed Kings Ridge and a couple of other courses were doing aeration or they stated that it was a couple of weeks after aeration so I didn’t choose one of those courses. Playing the front/back 9 twice, to me, is not a good/fun game of golf it’s a little frustrating.
Save your money!
We ended up here because a lot of the courses were aerating.I hate to be negative, but this was one of the worst courses I have played in Florida in a long time. The conditions of the course, from tee boxes to greens were very poor, with spotty grass, uneven rolls on the greens and generally poor maintenance overall. Even the carts needed replacing. Will not be returning.
Had a chauffeur today......
For medical reasons my husband couldn't play but, he drove the cart for me. It was a nice day. There were some large groups and they were very courteous and let me play through. I had a nice day.
Pleasantly Surprised
Played Green Valley for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Was somewhat skeptical as I pulled in, but things changed from my check-in to end of round. Staff is very nice. Amenities are OK. The course layout is really nice. You are challenged at the majority of holes and there are a couple of holes to help improve your scores. Never a dull moment as you have to navigate water, traps, and hard dog legs. Greens were very fast and mostly sloping. Fairways were dried with some bared spots (we haven't had much rain in the area) but nicely maintained. Only downside, our three-some was cruising but then we got caught behind a five-some (?). Eventually, they let us play thru (thanks !!!). Overall, nice course and will definitely come back and play Green Valley.
Seen better DAY'S
I'm only writing this review because I have never seen this course in such bad shape in all of the 30 plus years I have been playing this course....goose grass everywhere! Fairways and Greens were so bad I actually asked a man driving around the course in his own golf cart if the course was in the process of shutting down and going out of business like so many other courses in Central Florida have done. It almost seems like these courses that are somewhat close to each are competing to see which course can make the most money with the fewest dollars going back into the course..sorry...just saying!!!! This is becoming such a normal trend for what use to be one of the greatest golf destinations in the world... I'm sure most people would agree that most of the golf courses in central Florida were in really good shape back in the 80's and 90's... Back then Golf course ownership was built on pride not GREED.
Today
Course was in good shape. Greens were improved from a few weeks ago. Staff was great.
FAST 18 @ GREEN VALLEY
PLAYED 2 1/2 HRS 18 HOLES ALL GOOD PLAYED ALONE COURSE IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE, GREENS OK
1 FAIRWAY APART
NICE DAY COURSE GOOD NOT BUSY PLAYED ALONE MAINTAIN 1 FAIRWAY DISTANCE BETWEEN PEOPLE. PLAYED IN 3 HRS
Staff Friendly!
Staff was great and accommodating. The greens were pretty food and fast but rolled true. Tee boxes needed work and so did some of the fairways. Overall we enjoyed it and will return.
Great Round at Green Valley
Enjoyed playing Green Valley during this challenging times. So grateful to be able to get outside and enjoy this hidden gem
Played early on a Saturday as a single and made it around in less than three hours!
Layout is fun and challenging and several holes offer a real challenge. Greens rolled faster than you think....especiallly on down hill putts
Fairways and tee boxes were in good shape considering the lack of rainfall in March
Thankful that we can still get outside and practice social distancing on the golf course.
Great course
Beautiful fairways and greens. Each hole offers different set up shots. Great course for mid handicap players to improve your game!
