Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Ridge course
The course is in need of some serious maintenance
The entire course is overgrown, weeds everywhere.
Great course for the value
Course in really good shape. The rough very deep, but due to tropical storm that passed thru weeks prior I understand why. I like the elevation changes and slope. Challenging holes will return soon.
Fairways Good, Greens not as used to be, needed some maintenance.
Staff was nice, Pace of Play was very good, Fairways were in good condition, greens needed some maintenance and weren't in good condition like used to be.
This course in in horrible condition
This course used to be in great shape, lately it has gone downhill. The fairways are just full of crabgrass, under the trees are just overgrown with weeds. The common areas don’t get mowed. The cart paths are overgrown, the course needs to be mowed, no one is maintaining this course. This is very concerning for me as I am a resident at Kings Ridge. Hope they get on the ball, if not this course will end up closing. It’s becoming just that bad.
Down Hill
Been golfing here for a while. Great layout and Convenient to me. However, the course has drastically gone downhill over the last couple of months. I do believe it’s under new ownership or at least that’s what I’ve been told but in that time, the course has drastically fallen off. The tee boxes are a mess. The greens are in horrible shape and the maintenance guys mowing Pull right up to you on a Teebox and keep mowing as you’re trying to hit. I certainly hope they figure it out because I do like the layout of the course.
Really nice course
Course is great!
Pace of play was slow due to a group with three carts and five players .
KINGS RIDGE
Course fine few problems greens airreation sand on greed slow not bad NEED NEW SOD FEW TEE BOXES. OVERALL FOR $15 GREAT PRACTICES COURSE NOT THE WALDORF BUT THE $110 YOU SAVE CAN PLAY FIVE MORE TIMES KINGS RIDGE GET YOUR GAME IN SHAPE FOR THE SNOWBIRDS MONEY PLAYERS AND FEW BEERS AND FEW DOGS
Disgraceful course!
Booked through Golf now for myself and two sons for what I thought, which was advertised as 18 hole golf course. On arrival was told 9 holes were closed and had to play the front 9 twice. Honestly has to be the worst course I have ever been to, it was actually unplayable. There was more weeds than grass on fairway, the tee boxes were disgraceful. Divets everywhere and mushrooms growing everywhere.we walked off after 9 as it was so bad.if this was back in Scotland the green keeper would be sacked. I did tell a member of staff why we left I should actually request to get my money back it's so bad.
Failed to provide full information
Aerification was noted while making reservation. When I arrived at course was told then “play front 9 twice”
Overall great course for the price
Came out a little worried from recent reviews, but the course was overall in good condition, only thing I’d say is the greens are a little choppy but they still stay true to the line. Tee boxes are pretty rough but level enough to not affect your tee shots.
If your looking for a course that’s not too expensive I’d pick this over Swiss fairways which sucks btw. But if you can afford something slightly more in the area I’d go with green valley or legends if you can get a good price.
Diamond with lots of rough
Positives
Great location, good course layout, pleasant staff.
Negatives
Very poorly maintained, no restaurant, no food options, shop lifeless and a bit dull.
Sadly would not return unless the movers and shakers at the club look around and weigh up the competition and use the potential the facility's is clearly crying out for.
Summer protective condition
Lovely layout and clearly well maintained. We were informed that the greens were slightly long to protect them from the very hot Florida sun. This said the were fun to play and presented an acceptable challenge. Really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely play again.
