Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

A Fun Tract
I play Kings Ridge every time I visit Clermont which is four times a year. I really like the course. However I’ve seen it in better shape. I understand it is hot in the summer but Bermuda turf should thrive in this climate. I think they should re-sod the tee boxes and mow the greens a little lower as they were very slow. I heard they have a new management group so hopefully things will be better when I return in October.
Boring
The course is not in great shape especially the greens.
Nothing interesting about the course layout.
Bad attention
I reserved two places to play, but my partner could not attend and I asked the proshop to give me a credit for the place to use in the future and he flatly refused to do so, that I should contact Golf now to file the claim and receive a return, the problem was that they confirmed the attendance of both, when I informed them that it was only one person who would play.
Poor condition
Most tee boxes were all weeds
Most greens were only average condition
Most fairways were only average condition
The course is a nice layout and fun to play
But condition need to improve
Too many weeds

The friend who recommended this course has been suspended from the Course Selection Committee.
The course is kind of boring, not much interesting in terms of terrain, water or bunkers.
It's not in horrible condition, but not great but the greens are very rough.
We won't play it again.
Great course for the price
Beautiful neighborhood course, needs some love but still very playable. Fairways are mostly in great condition, if you land off to the side, it starts to become more weeds than grass, but still playable. Tee boxes are a little rough, and greens weren’t perfect but the ball rolled true.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this course if you’re looking to have a cheaper golf day. Golf carts were clean and in good condition and the staff was great
Good round for the money
Great layout, good value for the money. Course has been in better condition. Lot of crab grass in greens. Greens were slow, didn't look like they had been cut. Fairways were average. Looks like some improvements of playing conditions were in progress
Not worth the money for an average couse
Fairways were okay, tees need some work and the greens were awfully bumpy.
Solid but needs some love
The good - Interesting layout, fairways are in pretty decent shape. It’s a shorter course (About 6200 from tips) but it’s a good spot overall.
The bad - Greens are patchy, tee boxes uneven and mostly dirt/weeds Never a consistent Bev cart person and at this point, the course can’t even sell alcohol. The 19th hole isn’t great either.
I’ve played the course several times and enjoy it but hope some course maintenance is prioritized, especially the greens.
Greens are better…
…a little bumpy and a few weeds however faster than they were the past 5+ years. Bunkers all ranked nicely by machine. Could use a few more rakes though. No water on the course or beverage cart, stick up. Fairways better than before, a little plush. Tee boxes mostly ok. Puns were all bent, thought it was a prankster however had to take them out on the short putts. Someone had made the tees 5 feet across. Moved several to a more respectable 7-10 feet.
Clown Show!
Made a 7 am tee time so me and my playing partner would be the first out on the course, and we could play fast. The course set out the Women's Group at 8 am as a shotgun start. They were starting on holes 7,8,9, and 10. We ended up getting behind them starting on hole 8.
What a clown show. The course should never put others in front of another tee time like that. We ended up picking up on 9 and requesting our money back.
On top of that, we bought a basket of range balls, got to the range and the range was closed. Ended up getting refunded for the balls.
We have played this course a lot and we usually have a great time. Today, however was not one of those great days. Maybe next time they will try and control things a bit better.
