Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

Back 9 closed for aeration. Had to play front 9 twice and it's condition was not good, greens covered with heavy sand!

On the turn, had to wait for others starting their rounds.

Very disappointed!

A relatively unknown course which was in very good condition in the middle of a well maintained sub division. Apart from the par 3 4th hole I cant recall any water coming in to play.. The greens were fast compared with what I was used to in the UK and took some time getting used to. The tees were a bit rough and bumpy but that is a minor issue. All in all I would recommend it to anyone.

The putting greens were in poor condition. Alot of brown grass and we're as hard as concrete. Balls could not grab and just rolled off the greens. I hope they fix this soon as this is my go to course when I have friends that want to golf.

There was several 3 and 4 foursomes on front of us playing in a very slow pace and they didn't observe any etiquette of allowing us to move forward, even they saw us (2 players) waiting for them all the time to be able to play.

There was no Ranger Staff taking care of it.

So, after a very few holes played and 2 1/2 hours of waiting we decided to leave the course.

Also, there were many greens in bad condition, which we haven't see in a long time before.

So sad, waste of money, and bad experience.

2 months ago it was in really good shape, not now. Losing greens, fairways, and tee boxes. Was charged over $70 for a course worth $35. Hole 12 is in terrible condition. Very nice staff.

Where do I begin? The overall course layout is a nice set up. The condition of the course was absolutely horrible from tea to green. Nothing was good. Dried out areas everywhere lack of grass in the rough areas. Greens were bumpy as pimples on an elephants backside. Description, of course by those whoever viewed it prior must’ve been set ups because the truth is this course is in horrible shape. To say the place was a garbage dump would be an insult to garbage dumps. I would never recommend this to anyone as it was highly overrated and highly overpriced.

The course layout is good and interesting, tees weren't perfect, fairways and greens I thought were decent (speaking as a ex golf course manager).

The price of a round I thought was reasonable, charging $20 + tax for a riders fee when there were plenty of carts available is, I think, is unreasonable. If there has to be a charge when the course is busy, then up to $10 is probably fair enough.

In my opinion this course is in the top 3, for central Florida courses. Hats off to your ground crew.

Great track in Clermont. Challenging layout. Play it several times a month. Tough in the wind. Some greens and tees showing some wear and stree. Team needs to be on top of course issues or the course will go south fast.

It was a rain filled day. But cleared the course for a while. A few players taking way to long on the drives and puts.But all i9n all a great deal at the price.

The gated community appeared to have a sense "pride of ownership! The course however was in very rough shape. Most tee boxes were either bare and sandy or overgrown with weeds The fairways the same and the greens despite the efforts of the staff to convince me they were infected by a "disease" were simply showing signs of freezing during the cold winter we had. The entire course was lacking water! The pace was soooooo slow, I bailed at hole 13 as there were 3 groups waiting when I arrived. If they even have a greenskeeper he should be sent packing!

Always enjoy playing "the King"' when we winter in Fla. Dependable, can count on a good time, staff great....especially the starter. Greens are usually flat and run smooth.

Will play a few more times before we go home...
