Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course

Reasonable course to start a golf holiday, holes not too difficult, course in pretty good shape for green fee

I have always enjoyed my rounds at Kings Ridge Championship course. The layout is varied, with rolling hills and undulating greens. The staff is friendly and the course is in great shape with the exception of a couple of greens. One of my favorite courses in Clermont.

Nice course with nice old trees, especially for the money. Prices have been increases so much recently, but this great course.

Layout for the holes is nice some very challenging. Staff nice and helpful. Greens were a little slower, but good condition.

Front nine the pace of play was perfect. When we went to the back nine a different group was in front of us and the pace of play was very very slow. Evidently a couple groups stop for lunch or somenthing and whatever happened I think they all got tired.

My brother and I with his son played 18 holes on March 11, 2024.

Positive: Good value, very friendly staff, good layout and good condition.

Challenges: Lack of a marshal/ranger. Started at 1.05pm, finished at 6:00pm. By hole 18 there were four/five groups awaiting a very slow group to finish.

Overall: We quite liked the course, have played here before and will likely play again. We would recommend this course.

The greens were not in good condition. For 75.00 I expected good to very good greens. The grass was patchy on the greens. Also, some of the sand traps were not groomed.

First off, the staff was great. The starter that day was personable and caring. The greens are sparse, good speed, but really bumpy. Pin placements on three holes were ridiculous. A ball putted right up to the hole rolling 15-20 feet back to where it started. Tough greens are part of golf but the people at the course need to know the limits. The layout is good but a bunch of very thin lies everywhere. At $59 plus taxes it’s probably worth it given the current sad state of gouging versus making a profit. (I could accept some the issues we dealt with.). At $59 plus taxes it just crosses a point of good value to questionable expenditure.

Course was in nice shape. A little backed up. Staff was friendly.

I was expecting better conditions than this. The greens on the front nine were covered in bare spots, with little growth. Fairways were very similar. The back nine was better. Greens had challenging undulations making putting interesting. the clubhouse was a mess and not inviting at all, crap lying around everywhere, which explained why nobody was sitting having an after golf refreshment.
