About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

A good course with challenges
Very helpful staff in the clubhouse and cart area. So.e challenging holes.
Starter was lost
Started off on front 9 - good pace of play. Starter decided to let multiple groups tee off on back 9 bringing play to a halt. 4 groups on a tee box. Never seen anything like it. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE SLOW PLAY AND OTHER GROUPS UP YOUR @$$!
Worth Playing
Greens were a bit firm and fairway grass was a bit off color but may have been due to close mowing or lack of rain. Back nine was challenging.
5 star experience
The staff is what separates this course from many others I’ve played at. They are all super friendly! The course layout and conditions are great. I’d play again anytime I’m in the area.
Nice course; pace of play needs better management
The course and people were good. Whoever put that many foursomes on the course at the same time didn't realize that they made the entire afternoon's tee times run more than 30 minutes over.
Great course for all levels of golfers
We were visiting St Augustine and saw a write up about the course so we gave it a try. Had a wonderful experience. Several tee box options make the course playable at all levels. Sand bunkers were well maintained. I had the opportunity to check some out first hand ;)
Stupid green speed
The greens here are so ridiculously fast that it makes for a not much fun round. To have a 10 footer, just set it to rolling and have it go 8 feet by is just stupid. Who is the greens keeper trying to impress? No reason to have the greens at pro speeds. Like the course, hate the greens, won’t be back for a long while, and won’t be recommending this course to anyone.
Highly Recommend
In the area visiting over the holidays and everyone I spoke to recommend this course. It did not disappoint. Great condition. Greens are quick and roll true. My favorite course I’ve playing in the area.

Putting greens need improvement
Fairways are pretty good. The greens however are nothing but sands and impossible to hit because it’s too slippery (no grass).
Nice Course
Course is in fine shape. Slow do to many playing but that is ok. Better get out and play St Johns because I heard it will be shut down in March for course over haul.
