About
Carved from a forest of pines and winding through wetlands and lagoons, St. Johns Golf & Country Club offers a scenic 18-hole round located between St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The course features tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens. There is also the occasional two-tiered green to look out for. Water hazards come into play throughout and there are several well-placed bunkers. Depending on how the wind is blowing, the course can range from being gentle to very demanding. Six sets of tees make the course accessible to players of all skill levels. In addition to the course, St. Johns Golf & Country Club also offers extensive practice facilities including a 10,000 sq. foot putting green, chipping green, and a double-sided driving range.

Gone is past glory
SJGCC use to be one of the best maintained courses in the city. Those days appear to be long gone. Fairways are bad. Greens were ok. 9:49a tee time. Behind 10 mins. Took 5+ hours to finish. Never saw a ranger. Biggest travesty is charging $95 on a Friday and never mentioning most of the course was cart path only. So very disappointing.
Course was just ok today
Tournament was played Walter in day they were so far behind cause there was no other respect for other people in front of us 3 players 1 thru 5 hole which took us nearly 2 hours causing us too have to be behind not have a enjoying round of golf fighting lightning thunder and pouring rain nobody seem to move them along why have them out there watching pace. Place is a kids driving golf carts on trails speeding hanging off carts I had not played here in a while and for sure will be a while before I return
Great course, poor pace.
Great course. Layout is challenging but also fair. Greens rolled pretty nice (could use a roll or two to smooth out some bumps).
Only issues I had was pace of play and mandating almost half the holes cart path only.
Pace was issue because they are simply squeezing too many golfers too close together.

I would play again. Expensive for pace of play. Look for a deal or go on off times.
Great tract
Wide open enough to stay out of trouble, but plenty of bunkers, moguls and occasional water to make things challenging. Plenty long too.
Nice Course
It's been awhile since playing here and the course is in good shape and challenging for all...

Great first round
Course conditions received a 4 only for the dry grass and aerated/sanded greens. The fairways were very dry but it hasn’t rained in ages. If you are a serious putter, then you might want to wait a week or so. Great staff and the course is plenty long with enough challenging hills and bunkers.

A Bit Bummed
I love this course and will recommend it any time I’m asked! There’s not many more disappointing feelings in golf than when you show up to a course that’s just been aerated
but were never told about it even though you were charged the same price for the course the week before it was aerated! Love the course, love the layout but that stuff has got to stop!
Greens were recently sanded.
Rough putting on all greens. In need of some rain as everything else does. Fun course.
