Chestatee Golf Club

I really enjoy the layout at Chestatee, lots of different shaped holes and challenging layout. Get to use most of the clubs in the bag. Conditions are good not great, struggling with some weed issues on the greens, but fairways are in really nice shape. Great value for the money and always an enjoyable day. Hopefully they get the weed issue under control and back to great shape. I will be back.

Very inconsistent green conditions. Some greens were in very poor shape for the $$ they charge. I have seen these greens in better shape. Course layout is great as always.

Greens were in terrible shape. Tee boxes hadn’t been mowed in awhile. Pace of play was terrible. Second time playing here and pace of play terrible also terrible that time.

Solic course, well run and a challenge. Some Mountain type holes and some links style, but it is always in good shape, has an excellent practice facility and enjoyable outing.

I hate that they started charging for range balls though, they used to be included. That is one of my pet peeves, include the balls in the price of the round, you want people to warm up before they play.

A good course in surprisingly good condition for a public course. The greens had not been cut but were still in pretty reasonable shape, espcially knowing how badly affected some of the area's private courses have been. Challenging on some holes as there was little run following recent rains, but still a nice course to play. Only snag was the pace, following a lone guy who insisted on playing several balls when it suited him!

Course is a really good layout, a lot of risk reward and thinking man holes. Creeks and lakes come into play, a lot of doglegs and placement holes. Fairways in great shape. Greens were not rolling well, thick and inconsistent and bumpy.

Overall a great experience. 90 minutes for 9 holes but 2 hours and 15 minutes for the back nine.

Will play again.

The course was in pretty good shape except for the greens. Fairways were nice, I always enjoy the layout. Pace of play was decent a little slow at first but picked up. The greens were in bad shape. A lot of sand on the greens and a little rough shape. Otherwise still a good course I’ll go back just hope greens are better.

No mention of punched and sanded greens. Usually you are alerted to this but not this time.

Otherwise one of my favorite courses.

Those greens have some pace but a little more speed would not be bad

The greens were slow and very rough, similar to what you would encounter at a city or county municipal public golf course for $19 greens fees. I will give the staff credit for their improvement. I've played at Chestatee for 20 years, and their starters and staff are traditionally the rudest you will ever encounter. Today's pro shop, starter, and the ranger were friendly.
