Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Bad course
The fairways were not cut. It was like playing out of the rough. The greens were basically dirt and weeds. Wish there was information available before hand that the sprinkler system has been broke for 3 weeks. So I could decide whether or not I want to play there.
Did jot get to play
Pro shop was closed at my T time. Did not get to play
Good place to practice
It only cost me $17 to play so no complaints. The people in the golf shop are super friendly and it has a down home vibe. It’s a bummer that they sold the back 9 because it was the better of the 2 nines. The course needs a lot of work but they need to mow the fairways on a regular basis. The layout is solid and if someone came in to invest some money then it could be a very solid course.
Miss the old days
It’s a shame what’s come of Swiss Fairways. It used to be one of my favorite courses. After losing the back nine. It seems as if management has just given up. Majority of the greens were in bad condition and extremely long. Fairways were a little better. But that’s not saying much. Hopefully they’ll get it under control, because I do still like the layout.
Honest review
Hot deal: $20
Range balls: $10 bag
Drinks: $2.50 each
First when we arrived we’re told that next time if we book a hot deal we can’t check in earlier than 15 mins before tee time this and the other…. Mind you the place is empty and we were going to the range. Then we are hit with the if you book hot deals expect to be paired up no matter what moving on….. if you don’t want people booking hot deals then don’t be on GolfNow.
Second, the greens at this point are just a joke I don’t think anybody is truly taking care of this course other than the usual grass cutting. We’ve been here multiple times and today is probably my last time coming to this course even at $20!
This isn’t a case of they need rain, this has been the case for a long time and once again nobody really cares for it so you have a crazy amount of divots all over fairways, marks on greens and just a decent place not cared for.
Perfect Learning Course
I’ve golfed here more times than I can count and I always will. For the price, you really can’t complain for what you get. Although the greens were absolutely terrible, the fairways were great and for $23 you get what you pay for. Love the course, learned how to golf here, I’ll always come back.
Unique
This golf course has a couple of holes against the the ski area. Nice fairways.
course in decline
Now only a 9hole course with different teeing areas for playing the back 9
You would think that by no longer having to maintain 18 holes that the conditions on the remaining 9 would be in good condition this is not the case all areas of the course are in need of attention
I wonder if the course is being run down and closure is imminent
