Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Better shape
Course is in nice shape. Better than last year. It's a 9 hole and you play twice on the hot deal. It's not very difficult but the greens , fairways and tee boxes are in nice shape. Gas carts, no GPS well marked.
Exceeded expectations
I wasn’t sure what to expect as I live in Clermont but have only played the other Clermont courses like Clermont National, Legends and Kings Ridge. Was expected to be a crazy weather day and it certainly was with sunny weather the first half and plummeting temps and rains and high winds in the second half. This, booked a Hot Deal tee time at Swiss Fairways to try it out and also not feel crappy about booking a $100 prime season tee time and having the round end early. This is now a 9 hole course that plays as 18 when playing different tees on front vs back. I was pleasantly surprised with overall conditions for the process and some of the course design is very nice, and very scenic with all the water and cool to see the water skiing. We played it as @ holes from the white x2. So, it was kinda nice to have a second chance to get revenge on any holes that got us the first time around lol. Definitely will be back, great value for th golf experience you can get. Can only imagine it being even nicer on a full sunny day.
busy but had a great time
this course reminds me of the mom and pop 9 hole courses in New England. 1st hole is not the most scenic but gets much better after that, challenging and greens are much slower than the fancy courses but that is OK with me, pace was slow but it was a weekend day, Wouldn't want to drive there and pay too much for a round but it was really fun.
Swiss Fairways
Great course layout. Course is in great condition and worth the money you pay
Great price and great course
We enjoy this course, very nicely kept grounds and their pro shop always has some amazing deals.
New greens!
New greens over the summer. Nice shape. Added new practice putting green.
A golf course to discover !
What a surprise ! This is a nice not too difficult to play 9 holes golf course ! The skiing school along the hole 2 is surprising ! Will come back without any doubt.
The staff was very nice. The course was in very good shape. Everything was very nice. Will definitely play again and refer it to my friends.
Amazingly Surprised!
After reading the negative reviews I wasn't expecting much. But I loved the course. Nice and challenging layout, forgiving bunkers, and well kept greens.
I will definately come back.
Very Good Course
We enjoy golfing there. Greens and course well maintained!
Never too crowded! Looking forward to playing there many times!
Cancellation
Owner cancelled tee time on me and I was not refunded my money. Very disappointed.
Course Sucks
There are a lot of FAKE multi star reviews here. And a lot of HONEST 1 and 2 star reviews. The owner needs therapy almost as much as a NEW greens keeper.
Look at the reviews. many HIGH STAR reviewers with blind ID’s and no narrative. They are putting in fake reviews to keep their star average higher .
This place is a nightmare.
Spend the extra money for a course in better conditions
I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but it’s a horrible playing experience.
It seemed like a decent spot to get reps in and practice, but ironically I think you’d need to be really good and be able to hit consistently off of any lie and any surface for it to be worth it.
90% of the playing surface is a mix of crabgrass, St Augustine grass and weeds just trimmed down low
There is very tall grass in many places, so losing balls is easy.
It’s a shame because there is potential here. The layout itself is nice, but if you’re a higher handicap and looking to get reps in for consistency, it’s pretty much an unplayable course.
You’re better off spending the 10-15 dollars more on the tee time to play at a more well-kept golf course.
great value for money staff deserves praise
Fairways are nice new collars green side lots of new areas sodded greens are full and roll true not lightning but quick enough tee boxes are full and mostly level cart paths are maintained well staff works very hard and does great job!
Course was closed
Golf now made a reservation at a course that was closed
Don’t waste your time
Listen, I’ve played this course before and it wasn’t great to begin with. I booked a tee time about a week ago to go out and try and get in a quick 9 with my friend. I’m just getting back into golf and my friend is kind of just starting out so I figured why not go somewhere that I’ve already deemed “not great” from playing previous rounds. It already wasn’t in great condition when I played a year ago but it’s cheap so we figured what the heck? We show up 30 minutes before our tee time to try and hit a few at the range beforehand. The pro shop is locked up and then owner/pro/greenskeeper/whatever else rolls up and tells us they’re closed for renovations and won’t be open for another month.
I understand that it’s mostly GolfNow’s fault for allowing the reservation to go through, but the staff we talked to at the course just kind of shrugged it off and basically made it seem like it wasn’t his problem.
Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time, money, or energy on this place.
