Swiss Fairways Golf Course
About
Located just west of downtown Orlando in Clermont, Swiss Fairways Golf Course utilizes the wide open and hilly terrain that is typical for that area, but uncommon throughout the rest of the state. Large greens welcome low handicappers while strategic bunkering is incorporated into the layout to add some challenge. There are over a hundred sand traps in total and 10 water hazards come into play. Swiss Fairways Golf Course has a relaxed, casual atmosphere that is far from the typical country club environment. Although it is relatively unknown, the Swiss Fairways Golf Course will most likely grow in popularity due to its affordable rates and interesting layout.

204 yard (blue tee) Par three third hole Photo submitted by Edpro on 07/08/2013
Disappointed
We played the first nine in two hours including waiting on holes 7 they 9. Started the second nine with one foursome other tee, a two some and foursome waiting then us. It took an hour two play the first 3 holes. Backed up at least 3 groups on each hole. We quit after 3 holes. I told the counter person and was told that’s golf in Florida this time of year. This is the third course I have played this week and the first one we had to wait for three groups on every tee box.
Don’t bother
Advertised as 18;hole course, you play the front 9 twice.
Back nine closed permanently.
Two greens severe damage, rest of greens barely playable, lots of weeds and patchy grass.
This course had great potential. Has gone downhill last 2 years.. too bad.
Interesting layout
To play 18 you needed to play the "old" back nine twice as the old front nine is permanently closed. The layout was quite good, fairways and tee blocks okay and greens pretty good. Parts of three holes' ran along a waterskiing course - very unique. All in all a good value.
On the Web site it said 18 hole Golf course
When you get there they tell you the back nine is closed and no can play it.
You need to up date your web page ,because they said it was closed last JUNE 2021
Good value for the moneyre
Course is in ok shape. Back nine has been closed so you play front side twice. Not crowded the day we played. Service was good and green fees were very fair.
What a Friendly Course!
This was our first time going to this course and I must say we will certainly try and return. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were fortunate enough to be paired up with a lovely couple who certainly made our day very enjoyable. We were disappointed, however, to learn that the back nine holes were closed and we had to play the first nine twice. We would have loved to have seen the course in its entirety.
Nice Little 9 Hole
Played it from the gold for the first nine and from the white the second nine. Excellent value for your money.
1/2 of a course
Used to be a 18 hole course now a double 9. One staff member was very nice another staff member was very crusty. Pace of play was extremely slow took us for in a half hours to do nine holes twice
it is a 9 hole course
it is a 9 hole course. When I booked it, I did not know it is a 9 hole course. They charge you 18 holes money so you can play twice 9 holes, kind of boring, right?
Disappointing day
We were really disappointed to find the back 9 was no longer playable. We have played Swiss Fairways many years prior and really enjoyed the course! Nobody told us when we checked in about the back 9 being closed??!! We will not be going back to play there. We realize it has been hard for all businesses to survive through Covid but are sad to see this course not make it!!
9 Holes
I’ve been playing at Swiss since it was originally a 9 hole but was glad to see they finally added the back 9. I played all 18 a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Now they are back to just 9 again. Not sure if it is a sign of the times or if they in trouble. I’ll keep playing there when I can just because I’m familiar with the coarse but would play elsewhere for the 18 hole experience.
