Inspired by the backdrop of the Manatee River, Ted McAnlis has created the ultimate golf experience with the perfect combination of beauty and challenge. Waterlefe Golf & River Club is built along a particularly beautiful section of the Manatee River, complete with wide expanses of pristine marshes and pleasant coves. Don't be surprised if on the 15th tee you spot a family of manatees poking noses up for a breath of air. The golf course was designed with a great deal of time, effort and expense going toward protecting and resorting the natural environment that gives the course it unique character. The gently sloped greens with the newest Tifteagle Bermuda offer the ultimate in putting. From a lazy start on the par-5 first hole to the big finish on the 18th hole island green, golfers love Waterlefe Golf & River Club!

This course and it's people have never disappointed me, probably have a dozen rounds over the past couple years and it's great every time, Use course good management and you will avoid trouble, greens are fast and true.Im a 7 handicap

Love this course!
We drive down from the Tampa/Clearwater area a couple of times each winter to play this course. It's always on good shape and it's challenging, but fair. You truly need to figure out how to manage the course. Bring extra balls just in case!
A great track
I've played this course several times, the last time being in May 2022. I think the layout is excellent and playing conditions have always been above average. I look forward to playing this course again soon!

Nice Course
Played for the 1st time, course in great shape there are a few "tricky" holes. A lot of water, guess that is why it has an aqua driving range! :)
Pro in proshop could have been a bit warmer. Charged $25 for my wife to ride, seems a little steep with a $96.00 green fee.

Nearly flawless
All the little things were perfect. Such as edging of sidewalks, signage on course, bathroom codes sent on cart GPS when nearby. The condition of the course had the same details…nearly perfect.
The golf course is HARD. Review the “slope rating” before you play it. High handicappers BEWARE. Fun if you forget your score , admire nature and beautiful houses and an occasional good shot!!

Waterlefe Again!
Much better to play again knowing how far the water hazards came out! Course was in very good shape after raining the evening before. Employees are very friendly and the pro shop is nice & friendly. Look forward to playing again next year.

Played here for the 1st time. Course was in incredible shape. Greens were the fastest I’ve seen in Florida in quite some time. Plenty of water about, but very little came into play.
Homes with boat docks was some site to see.
Will be back for sure.
