Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

Course is very dry
Course is very dry. Tee boxes are mostly dirt. Some greens are ok and fairways are bare in most spots in the middle. I wouldn't recommend playing unless its $20 or less right now. Course needs a lot of water. In the past course is usually good but this time we were very disappointed.
Arlington ridge
Staff was friendly. Tee and fairways were good. Greens were arrated but were still fast. Pace of play was good.
SLOW PLAY...AGAIN!!!
We play this course often. Have stuck with it through good course conditions and bad. It's fair now.
But the pace of play (granted on a Saturday) was slow. There were 3 groups on every hole...sometimes 4. Hard to get a rhythm going. (Even got hit into 3 times by group behind us.) It's been like this the past few times we've played here. The course conditions were fair; a lot of the tee boxes looked like dog tracks. Lots of burned spots on the greens too. Like I said, we've stuck with this course through good and bad, but this condition is not very good.
We'll still play here but definitely not as often. I'd still recommend this course, but be prepared.
Layout needs better signage
First time through it was easy to miss next tee box, signage update needed also no ball washers at tee boxes. Play a little slow for yardage, followed two foursomes and two twosome. Twosomes held us up mor than foursomes. Hot afternoon though so expected slower play
SLOW PLAY!!
We have been playing this course for 14 years. It's our "go to course." We love this course. But lately (the last 5+ rounds) the pace of play has been horrible. The last few times there have been 3 groups on EVERY hole!
Hit...wait...hit...wait...
And not a ranger in site to speed up play or let faster player go through.
We'll go back, but be ready to play slow.
I play 3 times a weekly have a 12 handicap. The greens had a lot of sand on them with many dead areas. the fairways were real dry and hard on the edges
The course was in great condition for this time of year.
Course was in better condition than all but one I have played so far to date. Would recommend playing and will only get better as time goes on....
Best bang for the buck
Always a good course. But as if late the greens have been in trouble. They are close to losing some of the greens. Also the speed of the greens are inconsistent from green to green. Still the best value for the price.
Best Maintained Course I have seen!
There was little to no complaint from us. The fairways were in perfect condition, the greens were well groomed and the tee boxes were great! We have played this course in previous years and this year was the best we have seen it. I was also impressed with the COVID protocols in place for the pro shop and our request to play as a twosome was granted with no argument! Thank you Arlington Ridge. We will be back.

Great Value
Seems lots of other golfers think like I do. Waited every hole . It was the weekend and Florida in the winter so I pretty much knew it would be slow. However the course was in great shape from tee to green. Greens were pretty slick. The Cart Attendant came by frequently. Will be back soon.

Review of AR golf course
I was disappointed in this course. I had high expectations for this course based on the pictures and reviews on Golf Now. The course was in average, at best., condition. There was very little grass on the fairways, the greens were big but not well maintained. Some of the holes had horrible views with trash and other unsightly things behind the fences. Also, the pace of play is hindered by the long distance between a green and the next tee on many holes. I do no believe the rate charged is fair for the value received. PS You cannot get into the pro shop or the bar area. I am just not happy with the entire situation.
