Arlington Ridge Golf Club
About
Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

Course Average-
Tee Boxes Terrible Shape,
Fairways good
Greens Very Dry,
Only saw beverage cart twice
Poor Restaurant Service - Help more concerned on socializing than taking care of cutomers
Nice day on the golf course
The course is in good some bear spots and the greens are slow and bumpy they need to be cut and rolled.
Wet
I usually enjoy this course but right now it is extremely wet and on the front 9 we could only take the cart of 3 holes. I'll go back when it drys out.
Hot, Wet and Muggy
Normally this course is in pretty good shape year round, but the incessant summer rains of late have made lakes where there were none before. As a side note the fairways and greens have been aerated a short time ago and on the greens putting was a little off. There were a few soggy fairways and one really wet one on the back nine that would swallow a cart if it wasn't roped off. I was told that the course was being turned over to some golf outfit that runs courses around the country. This is happening as the developer of the property has almost built out the community at this time. Once this course dries up and the new company gets it in shape I'll be back.
Great course wrong address
First off the address that the Golf Now app has is not correct. I just clicked on the link the app gave me and we were taken to a street about 15 minutes away from the actual course. After we got to the course the staff was friendly and the resident we got paired with was amazing. The course was great. It’s florida golf so it had a few sandy patches but I’ve never been to a Florida course that didn’t.
Nice course
For the most part course is in good condition. There are a few tee boxes that are lacking grass. You will come across a fairway now and then that may have a spot that is light on grass. I would not have a problem playing here.
Something changed
The conditions have gone down hill as of late. Apparently the female greens keeper left and the new guy isn’t on the same page as she was. I played the course a few weeks ago and the greens were slow-ish but puttable and the fairways were pretty good. This time around the greens were really slow and the fairways are very thin in spots and there was quite a bit of “goose grass” in the fairways, especially on the back. The greens were in good shape but could be cut down some and made a bit faster. The pace of play was pretty good for a busy Su day afternoon. We played in 3.5 hours. The beverage cart was around to see us multiple times. I like playing AR but if the fairways get any worse they will burn to a crisp. If that happens it will be a while before i return.
First of all, thank you for your comments and for being a loyal customer. Second, I'd like to clarify that the changes you described have little to do with our current Golf Course Superintendent, who has done a phenomenal job since his start May 1. Most challenges we've experienced over the last couple of months are seasonal and weather related; however, we 're excited about the progress he's made and believe we're on the right track. We do have a few fairways on the back nine that are lagging behind the others, but we'll work diligently to restore them as well. We look forward to your return! Jake Doty, Director of Golf
Good Scoring Course
Course is very playable and in good conditions. Only exception was the greens, they were a bit shaggy and slow
Friendly staff, goid conditions
This time of year, there is a battle to keep weeds down with all of our rain. So there are some weeds on tee boxes and evidence of weed control on greens. But, in general, course was fine. Some wet spots - to be expected with our summer downpours. The staff here is always very friendly. They were responsive when called because of slow play in front if us and things moved well after that. I always enjoy playing this course!
This course has a nice layout.
I enjoyed playing this course and I look forward to playing it again soon.
A good venue for most golfers.
The course for most of us senior golfers is a very good layout.
Great Course
Found the course a bit wet but we have had so much rain it was expected. For the most part the course is well drained and maintained. Greens and fairway in good shape compared to others in the area.
Enjoyed the day.
Course in good condition
They maintain the course and it is in good condition. Lots of friendly people play at the course. Have been matched up with several different people and always have fun.
Thanks for the review, Mary. We hope to see you back at Arlington Ridge again soon.
