Arlington Ridge Golf Club
About
Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

Good course
We enjoyed the course for the first time. I can't wait to go back, and play it again.
Enjoyed
Great course, greens were a great speed, cant beat the hot deal price
Don't pass this course by.
Arlington Ridge is in excellent condition. The greens keeper has revived the green to top notch condition. The fairways were always and still are great. The groundsmen are the best. I am looking forward to playing again. Five sets of tees make for an enjoyable round for all levels of play.Even the hot dogs were great at the turn.
Really impressed with course conditions
The course was a real pleasure to play. The large greens were a challenge putting and chipping. The roughs were difficult enough to warrant staying in the fairways. The only problem I had was that we were playing different tees on some of the holes to achieve a certain distance for our group and it was hard to determine the color of the tees from the cart.
One of my favorites
Played here with my dad. Temporary greens on a few of the holes, but they were puttable, compared to some of the course I've played this summer. Fairways were in good shape as well as the tee boxes. The staff was very nice. Played from the blues, and the options to play other tees was nice. I'll play here again for sure!
Looking Good
The damaged greens are really coming along. Robby, the groundskeepers and Superindendent have done a great job. Only 5 temporary greens remain which are better than a lot of courses I play on. The new greens look great and appear very close for play. The fairways are in great shape. The 19th hole is a perfect way to finish the day with drinks and food. Will be back soon. Worth the drive but it is local for me and can recommend this course to anyone wherever you are coming from.
Under Renovation but a Great Place to Play
I've played this course many times, but this was my first time back in about 2 years. Some of the greens are being replaced, so a few holes have temporary greens in the fairway. The course is very well-maintained, and the fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. The fairways are wide and fairly easy to hit, but the layout is challenging yet fun to play. We played a threesome, and pretty-much had the course to ourselves in the afternoon. It's a great course, and I recommend it.
Diamond in the rough
This course is rebuilding their greens, but it has the best fairways and t boxes I've played. The gentleman in the pro shop was very courteous and friendly. We played 4 courses in the Villages that were not as good. THANKS Arlington, ,James/Kat
Good except the greens
Would have given this course four stars if it wasn't for the greens. To be fair we were warned when we showed up there the greens were bad but we opted to play anyway. Fairways are very nice, extremely big which makes the course easier than most. I will go back but probably not for awhile, hoping they can get grass on the greens.
good course
the fairways are the best I've seen in quite some time. greens are sick and it will take a lot of time and work for them to come back. play it only if you get a good price and just take 2 on the greens.
Greens are in terrible condition
Greens are in terrible condition. Fairways were good. Tees were fair.
We played all 18 holes. There was almost no one on the course.
Green are almost completely void of grass. Covered in green sand.
In several places there is a faint outline in the fairway, close to the green, where it looks like a temporary green may have been at one time.
The greens are so bad the course should be closed in hopes the greens can be saved.
Horrible greens
The greens are almost completely dead. They are mostly sand mixed with dead grass. Ball bounces all over the place.
Dissapointed
My two sons and I played this course on May 3 2016. At the pro shop they mentioned the green were "bumpy". they were horrible, most of them had no grass at all. Totally unplayable ! They should close the place till they get that fixed. We payed $22.00 each to play their, they should have paid us to play their.
On a good not the fairways and tee boxes were in nice shape except for one hole where the tee boxes were as bad as the greens.
Wide fairways
Greens were not completely finished growing back in but the fairways and tee boxes were excellent. Very open fairways with good approaches. Lots of area to get ready to play in the form of putting greens and driving range. All staff were as good as you could get, very helpful and very forthcoming regarding conditions and expectations. Would play here any time.
Greens were terrible
Fairways were impeccable, greens were terrible.
Great course - worth the drive
Great practice facility. The course has a driving range, chipping area and practice greens. The course itself was a little challenging but not extremely. If the course was closer to Dsvenport, I would play it more often.
A senior's track
Course was wide open with few challenges. Unfortunately the greens were punched and top dressed because of some disease problems. Fairways were reasonable but very few bunkers around the greens, Track was somewhat uneventful with no memorable holes. A good track for beginners or seniors.
A Great Day for Play in Pennsylvania
My wife and I played 18 holes today in weather more befitting PA vs FL - overcast, breezy, cool with drizzle on 17 and rain on 18. Limited forced carries, generous landing areas and good greens. We enjoy playing AR; in fact, we'll be playing another round next week before heading back North.
It was OK.?.
Had a deal from Golf Now ($16) for 18. Showed up a little over an hour before my tee time (2:45). Pulled up to bag drop and nobody met me. Dropped my bag, had to walk to get a cart, then back to bag drop. Hit a small bucket (approx. 45 balls) $4. Was going to chip and put, but didn't know where the first tee or the starter was so I went looking. (bad signage) Pulled up to starter around 2:35, nice guy, somewhat chatty. He didn't have me on his start list so he called on the radio. I was playing with 3 other guys. Waited until 2:44 and asked if they were going to show. He had to call on the radio again. Long story short, no other guys, he held me until 3:00, then went off with a guy and his son, just the son played. Was on the second hole, flagged the beverage cart, bought a drink and candy bar and said "see you on the back nine!" She said, this was her last round, she was going home. Made the turn about 5:05, the food window was closed (3:00 close). Course was hard, fast, and dry. (screamed water me please) For $16 can I really complain. YES!! Played through 16, then it was too dark. Pace was slow on the back nine, think people jumped on. I know people jumped on. Didn't recognize the two groups ahead of us. Probably would have finished if not for them. Would only recommend with a hot deal.
Nice Place
This course was close to the RV park where we stayed. Some of the other RVers recommended this course and we were not disappointed. I would play here again with the hopes that all the greens were in good condition. The staff is super, very helpful.
I agree with some of your comments; however, the issue we're having now is that many of our greens are showing signs of recovery after an extremely hard transition from winter to summer grass. As a result of this recovery, we now have growth where we had sand. Naturally, patchy areas of turf are no fun to putt and that's precisely where we are with several of our greens.
Your observation of temporary greens was correct, except that these locations were recently cut to provide us with temp greens starting Monday, May 16 on six (6) of our holes. We believe that temp greens will be in play for 6-8 weeks, but we'll have to wait and see.
We are also doing our best to communicate current condition of our greens to customers, but we sometimes do fail to get the word out. We have also requested that customers who book via GolfNow also be informed of current conditions and temporary greens.
If you or other customers did not enjoy your last round here, then I do apologize. We're making every effort to return our course to the excellent conditions we expect and you deserve.
