Arlington Ridge Golf Club
About
Arlington Ridge Golf Club in Leesburg, Fla. runs alongside the Palatlakaha River, which edges along the entire southern boundary. Centuries-old oak trees have a commanding presence on the course with stately oak canopies providing beautiful backdrops to the greens and fairways. Pro golfer and NBC commentator Gary Koch crafted the layout. He wanted to create a golf course that is challenging but not overly difficult, giving it appeal for players of any skill level. The layout has a varied mix of holes that strike a balance between being tough and player friendly. Beginners still have a good shot at finishing the round strong while seasoned golfers will enjoy the subtle nuances of the course's tests that come from the elevated greens, strategically placed hazards, and dogleg approaches. You won't encounter any major obstacles but Arlington Ridge is a golf course that will make you think.

We were behind some ladies that did not offer to let us thru. Once we got to back nine we played last nine holes in one hour and 10 minutes
Sand Greens
Overall the course is in good shape for time of year. Repair and maintenance of the greens is necessary to restore them during the growing season. Too bad otherwise a nice course
Interesting track
Gary Koch did a wonderful job of providing plenty of room to play all the holes. Only negative was the greens. Spotty grass, very slow. However will definitely play again!
Good day of golf
I play this course on a regular basis. It is a great value. It is great place to practice. Great for all golfers. Current conditions are fair for this time of the year. Good place to unwind with friends.
Needs more care....
The village itself was cute, reminded us of Peddlers Village in PA. The started was great, he talked with us, gave us some history and info about the community of Arlington Ridge. He should be the mayor!! Some fairways need serious fertilizer and watering.
It's a little far for us - 45 minutes away.
Great design. Not always the best shape.
Great course layput. But greens were in poor condition. Looks like they had frost damage. Difficult time getting drinks before round but there was on course beer cart. Still a great value at 30 bucks a round.
Great afternoon
Played course with my wife and two gentlemen from Erie, PA. Course in very good shape, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Enjoyable round had by all.
Winter golf
I'd been down from Wisconsin a couple of months but my two friends had just arrived and hadn't played since mid November. I picked Arlington for their first round due to their generous landing areas off the tee. They liked the course although one of them thought the greens could have been better.
JGR
Course was in excellent condition, no carts available upon arrival. Need ranger on course, play was very slow. Took 5 hours and fourty-five minutes to complete round.
Good value for a Gary Koch design
If you've played Mystic Dunes (also designed by Koch), give this a try. It's a bit of a drive but reminded me a lot of Mystic Dunes at 1/3 the price. They had 3 inches of rain the previous 2 days and only 4 holes were cart path. Great drainage design.
Great course
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in great condition! The food which we purchased at the express window was good . They did have a bev cart out on the course, which we saw her twice. The pace of play was very slow but it was fine since we were paired up with another couple. Will most definitely be back!
Pace of play
Met Jim, starter at # 1. He gave us five minutes of course history. Than went into
course rules as in filling in divots, fixing ball marks on greens, raking traps,
around green place golf carts on cart paths.Jims dissertation was well taken
by my group. He was friendly and informative.
While playing the first hole we waited a couple of minutes for the group ahead of us
to leave the green. Holes # 2-3-4-5-6 were ridiculously slow. The group ahead of us
showed no concern about speed of play, never offered us a play through courtesy.
Their carts were always parked in close proximity to the greens.
A back up ensued with two groups behind our 4-some, On #6 Icalled pro-shop to report this.
A marshal came out and did his thing, play speeded up for one hole than slowed down
for the rest of play. This kind of disregard for speed of play made our day an unhappy
experience. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion,
respectfully, Bob Santulli
Better Than Average
Arlington is fairly wide open w/the occasional hazard coming into play. Very little water, manageable rough. Greens are generally in good condition, although deceptively slow. Need to knock it to get it to the hole.
Nice Course in good shape
Appears new ownership has continued to keep the golf course in good shape. Greens are a bit slow but not terrible. Very even and true putting surface and fairways are kept in good shape as well. For the money, a good deal. I do like the layout and design. Some very good holes and green configurations.
Great Holiday course
Played this course for the first time , paired up with 3 American guys who were good fun . Nice open fairways hence pace of play was good . front 9 greens were slow but got quicker as sun came out . Ideal holiday golf
Great links style course.
I always enjoy playing this course when we visit Leesburg
Great Shape
Have played this course before. It is in great condition right now, well worth the money.
Very good course for the money
Picked up on Last Minute Golfer at a good price. The course was in great shape.
comfortable pace and great food
worth giving it a try. friendly and well kept. Dining was wonderful.
What an enjoyable experience...
I drove an hour to play this course, and it was worth every moment of my time. Although the course was recently aerated, it's still played like a premier golf course from tee to green. The staff is exceptional and the layout is fine, yet challenging for any level of player.
