Forest Oaks Golf Club
About
Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

This course has interesting and sometime challenging features
Fairways are in good conditions, plenty of water hazards, some fairways too close to structures (for my comfort), greens could use a little more manicuring. Athough I personally enjoy par threes I think there are too many of them. I especially liked the clubhouse friendliness (superb), and the starter person.
I will play it again.
The course has more than normal par 3's. "Par 5's "' are way short of avarage par 5's. Many greens are in rough shape.
The length overall makes it a good place to work on your irons or 3 and 5 woods. Fairways are rough in many areas' as are the greens. At about $25 or $30 in the winter it is OK, but not above that. The staff is friendly, but the course overall needs attention. I would classify it as an executive course and probably should br a par 67 course. Par fives, are really long par fours anywhere else.
THIS COURSE THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT, VERY FRIENDLY
I LOVE THIS GLOF COURSE . I PLAY THIS COURSE ABOUT 2 OR 3 TIMES A MONTH IN THE WINTER . AND IN THE SUMMER ABOUT 1 A MONTH . ON MONDAY 2/ 18/ 2013 WHILE PLAYING FOREST OAKS I GOT A HOLE IN ONE ON THE 6 TH HOLE FROM THE BLUE TEES IT WAS 160 YRD. THE GOLF COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE . ANYBODY WHO PLAYS THIS COURSE WILL BE VERY HAPPY THEY DID .
Nice short course..
If you want to just get out and hit the ball around this is a great little course that can be played in 3 hours if you tee off after !:00 PM.
Very poor conditions
Greens were rough, bumpy, fairways were rough, sand bunkers were wet. Only good thing was the staff.
improve a lot since last fall
great value for the money , pleasant course for average player
We will go back
Nice course to practice your course management.
Short but narrow. You have to think your way around. Interesting layout. Fairways & greens need attention. Good pace of play. Nice outing.
Nice course to play
Wasn't to challenging, greens are in great shape. I read reviews about this course some which were not that good. Don't be fooled go see for yourself. They have done a lot of work to the greens and it is in great shape. Fairways are in good shape also, with the acception of a couple of tee boxes needing a little sprucing up it is a great course to play and prices are good too. I will definitely be playing there more often.
Very short course, but the fairways and water make it tough. If you can keep it in the fairway many eagle and birdie oportunities. Greens very slow.

course was in terrible shape greens and tees
would not recommend
The Florida Club in Stuart is a much better value for the money, course is in great shape
Under new management
I played here all summer because of the rates on Golfnow.com--and at first it was not kept up. Now with new management, the course has improved tremendously, with Thomas--a subplant from the Jupiter golf course, and Sean, the golf pro making great strides towards a challenging course at affordable rates with improvements on the way. Try this course out!!! and the burgers are great too
Will be good later with TLC.
Just needs work on fairways and greens. Tee boxes need a touch also.
An OK course for the money
Will only play this course with GolfNow.com. because, otherwise, it is now worth the fee they charge.
The course is just fair to average, and every time I play there, it never seems to be crowded.
I will play there again, but only at GolfNow.com prices.
This course has many challenging holes.
they are doing quite a bit of work on the course, so parts of the course aren't in the best shape yet.
Not worth it
This was one of the worst condition courses I have ever set foot on. It may have been nice 25 years ago but it has not seen anything like regular maintenance for years. The course is wedged into an old housing development where people walk the dog and students walk across it on the way to a nearby school. The greens are in such bad shape it's not possible to line up a putt as the ball just bounces like an old dune buggy. The tee boxes are simply awful and terribly crowned. The only thing this course is good for is practice. I gave up keeping score after two holes. For $10 might be okay - for the $25 regular rate there are many more that are worth playing. This is a catch 22. Not worth paying for but then there is no $$ for maintenance. Cannot recommend it.
Needs some work bit still OK
The fairways were OK. The greens were bare in spots but overseeding has been done. In a few weeks they should be nice. We played in the afternoon and it was a pleasant round of golf. No pressure from behind and the staff was nice. For the price we will play there some more.
Worst conditions I've seen
This place was a dump, would never recomend to anyone.
