Forest Oaks Golf Club in Lake Worth is a public course that is still one of south Florida's best-kept secrets despite having good conditions and affordable rates. The golf course offers an enjoyable round that is challenging but playable. Opened in the 1970s, it has a classic layout that showcases what Florida golf courses are known for. It is a tight layout that requires a fair amount of accuracy but beginners won't feel too out of their league. The layout offers an excellent transition from an executive course. It measures less than 6,000 yards, offering a quick and enjoyable round for more advanced players. Forest Oaks G.C. offers the quality and conditions of a country club course but the friendly and casual atmosphere of a public facility.

Good Experience
Course was is good condition and the greens were very good. Obvious work going on to improve conditions. Course is not long, but very narrow. A good challenge for all levels of golfers. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely would play here again.

very tight course, you need to all shots straight
The course is narrow and you need to hjt it straight all the time and there are condo's that are close on some holes.
The fairways are narrow with lots of houses and condos
I think it will be interesting once improved. The Green have been greatly improved and in good shape which is important. The fairways still need some grass and I know it just been taken over by a group that is working hard. I live on the course and watch the improvement. My first games of golf 18 yrs ago were on this course and this is where I built my big circle of friends. Would like to invite them all one day to celebrate.

Decent value for the money, but course is in a sketchy neighborhood and the condition isn't very good.

great value in palm beach county
three months ago i played this course for the first time and it was okay. the fairways were okay as well as the greens and t-boxes.. a week ago i played again and have noticed many improvements in this course. the greens are great, the fairways look nice and so on. after being under new ownership i have seen immense improvements. the new owners have a frequent player card where you buy a $75 card and the first round is free and then you get $5 off every round for the months of november through march. which means the rates will be $20 in november, $25 dollars in december, and $30 dollars in the months of january february and march. this will be an unbelievable deal in palm beach county, i know ill be back.

Getting Better
The Golf Course been improving over the course of the last 4 months, but the tee boxes still need to be updated.
On my last visit, the back 9 were great aside of a few tee boxes not being updated. However, the fairways and the putting greens were nice.
Diamond in the rough.
We've been bouncing around trying different courses for variety. It's a good course that we found to be surprisingly delightful. That course needs a little work but the new owners are really working at improving the quality and you can see it. Vinnie the owner and Mike the ranger were both extremely friendly and helpful. You can't beat the price for a good round of golf!!! We are checking into becoming members and making this a regular stop in our golfing tour of the area!!!
No Frills Golf
This was the perfect place for us to hide from the crowds and work on our game. The course is improving after years of neglect now that it is under new ownership and you can't beat it for the price. We will definitely go back. Wishing luck to the new owners in their efforts to revive this course but it worked for us just the way it is.
You MUST be straight off the tee
This course looks like it's trying to get better but has a long way to go. The course is old and tucked away in a neighborhood. The fairways are EXTREMELY tight and unless dead straight and accurate off the tee, trouble is everywhere. It;s not a course for beginners or even higher handicaps. Bring lots of extra balls because you will lose a bunch.

New owners are working hard and taling good steps to bring the course back into good shape. Will play again and watch the course improve each week!

. they are putting money into the course i am seeing improvment i expect this to be very different place shortly i think u will find it a very good deal for $15 with continued improvements over the next few weeks if u havnt been lately or never u should give them a tryi look for this course to be awesome soon
NEW OWNER GREAT PRICE
this course under new management (disabled vet) is a good challenging course must hit straight shots. The conditions of the greens and fairways are are now in good condition and getting better each week. I recommend this course to all levels of play and for $15 you cant beat the price.
If you must hit a ball
Course could use a little grass on the greens and a regular watering program.
