Golf Club At South Hampton

Greens were just punched a cut a few weeks ago so they are sandy and will slow putts done. Greens will be perfect in a week or two. Great course and conditions are pretty good usually

I caught the twilight fee. Good deal for the price. Lots of amateurs slowing down play but got 13 holes in.

Most fairways pretty forgiving. Descent greens.

Obviously they are trying to protect the greens they lost in the sprint..Course is traditionally poorly manage but normally enjoy despite this issue. Was not listed as greens sanded as required by GN…stay away for a month till course recovers.

This is a very enjoyable layout that doesn't beat you up too much. Wide landing areas, well bunkers and relatively good greens. (They were still a little choppy from recent aeration)

Well worth the money for sure.

When in the area, I always include this ckurse in my itinerary.

I find that the course has 2 distinct 9s. The front nine is open and pretty straight forward. The back 9 is moreshoemaker. Good contrast. Today (10/29) the greens were recovering from being verticut, so didn't roll normally. The tee boxes were thin in places. Fairways and rough were in very good shape. Overall well be back for sure.

South Hampton is a good local golf course. The greens are in fantastic condition currently. Rolling fast and true. At times, South Hampton greens are very slow, however they are perfect right now.

The course was in great shape. The greens were nice and fast but some were a little bumpy but most rolled really nice and true. Would definitely play here again.

Always enjoy playing here. The group in front of us was slow, but it was a beautiful day so that helped the waiting.

I will play elsewhere on my next visit to Fla. Had to pay $20 extra so my wife could ride along in the golf cart, not too pleased with that. Course was in pretty good shape. I started as a single and was paired with another single on the second hole, he was a decent guy and had played there frequently. We played behind a threesome of women for the front nine. On the backnine it suddenly morphed into a fivesome yes a fivesome. They had no intention of letting us play through nor were they fast. My playing partner called the clubhouse to tell them it was a fivesome but seeing we had just a few holes left it was no big deal. The ranger talked to them and they were actually upset we had the audacity to complain that they were a fivesome! At that point they became a threesome and a twosome. There was nobody behind us for at least two or three holes. They actually waited by the 18th green to yell at my playing partner.. No commonsense but a huge sense of entitlement by these Karen members! So no I will not play this course again.

South Hampton is a ‘friendly’ course. But greens were just Verticut so a bit inconsistent

Should have been told the greens had been top dressed and verticut making them impossible to put on. Everyone simply took 2 puts once on the green. It should have been a big discount minimum yet they charged full price.

Nice couse. Nice staff. Nice layout

The only issue was the greens after spreading sand the grass was roughed up pretty good causes the ball to bounce. Other than that the course was great!

Course in great shape, greens running fast. Sand traps well maintained and grass cut perfect. Excellent round as always at SH. Top three in Jacksonvile area.

Course is I good shape, great practice facilities , good value
