About
The Golf Club at South Hampton was designed to give every golfer appropriate risk-and-reward opportunities that supply both encouragement to beginners and challenges for more advanced players. The slope and contour of the course’s landscape is its trademark with strategic mounding and over 60 contoured bunkers that emphasize the terrain’s natural undulations. The course features rolling fairways and massive greens. There are also sixteen large lakes that come into play throughout. The signature hole is the tremendous par-5, 17th, which is a scenic hole that features a lake, fairway bunkers, and a breaking green. Although the course is a challenge, there are six sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

Always a good time
South Hampton is easily in our top 3 Jax courses - its a fun layout, conditions of the course are always above average, really cant ask for more. Of course most grass is dormant at the moment, the tee boxes and fairways were great to hit off of and the greens rolled true. Unfortunately most greens were nicked up by someone's spikes but thats def not on the course.
Fair
Course is in decent condition but the pace of play was slow as it took 5 hours to play 18 holes with a cart. The beer cart girl was very courteous and very attractive. Course has excellent practice facilities.
Great course!
Everything about this course is top notch except for pace of play. To be fair though, almost every local course is dreadfully slow this time of year. Snowbirds and tourists clog up the courses so bad it will try the patience of a Saint.
I highly recommend this course. It is a fair test of golf with fast , tru roll greens. 👍
Frost Delay
Nice course. Only able to play front nine due to frost delay that put all tee times behind schedule. Slow play…two and a half hours to play the front. Would try to play again to give a better review.
Hire more help
Have played here 3 times this winter and still can't finish a round fo to slow play, and no one to in force pace of play. Letting walkers out after noon on a weekend never a great idea, when we lose an hour of sunlight in the winter.
Ashamed
something always disappoints. 72 bucks to play in the winter with top dressed greens. Then to be almost turned away because my 3 year old was riding along with me ( he goes with me everywhere else, twice a week). I’ll take my 72 bucks and spent it else where. Way to promote the game to the youth!! Bunch of Jack weeds at this place.
A DELIGHTFUL GOLF COURSE!!!!
THIS COURSE AT THE GOLF CLUB OF South Hampton IS A SHEER DELIGHT TO PLAY!!!! GREAT CONDITIONS...BEAUTIFUL TEE BOXES, FAIRWAYS, AND FAST GREENS!!!!
South of JAX
Little south of JAX, this is a. very nice golf course. Nice layout & well-maintained. Will definitely come back again.

What an awesome course! The staff at the pro shop were very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I can’t wait to play again at South Hampton!
Slow, Slow, Slow
Condition but because of a frost delay in slow play, it ended up being a five hour.
