Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands
       About
Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is carved from gently rolling hills located just outside of Orlando in the city of Leesburg. Although the wide fairways are relatively flat, the golf course's terrain provides the greens with gentle undulation. Sparkling lakes provide scenery while also coming into play as water hazards on nine holes. There are also doglegs and bunkers throughout to provide the golf course with even more challenges. Much of the land that the club occupies has been preserved as a wetlands area, offering golfers a glimpse of native wildlife. In addition to its natural beauty, Monarch Golf Club at Royal Highlands is popular due to its accessible layout that accommodates both low and high handicap players.

One of My Favorites in CFL
If you golf, there are a lot of choices across Central Florida - for sure! Monarch is a short course, but don't leave your accuracy at home. Super fun layout and there are a few high-risk reward situations that can really make you look like a hero if you can pull them off - like getting on the green in 1 @ Hole #6 or getting on in 2 @ #16. I'm a golfing nomad in this area and this course hasn't disappointed me yet. It rained for the first 4 holes followed by a gorgeous glowing overcast that covered us for the remainder of the round. I will always come back.
Horrible Greens
The Monarch is a nice and easy layout but the greens have been in horrible shape for months.
The course was in good shape considering all the rain we've had
Great Time
I really enjoy playing at the Monarchs mainly because of their staff. Today Ralph at the Pro Shop was great and extremely knowledgeable on what was going on. It was definitely a busy morning and Ralph ran it as smooth as you can as for. The course is well maintained and pace of play was set was perfect.
Like it because of the set up or design of few of the holes.
Enjoyable day
The one thing that really stands out with the monarchs Golf Course is Deana in the pro shop she is absolutely accommodating and very aware of pace of play and that is the biggest reason I enjoy playing at the monarchs.
Slow Play Slow Greens
Bad timing. Behind two slow foursome of ladies. They eventually let me play through, so the rest of the day was smooth. Greens were slower than most. Overall nice course.
Royal Monarch
Hidden gem. Great layout in great condition. A bit of a drive, but not fat off the turnpike. Worth the drive.
monarch
the greens were slow and bumpy. have to believe they will improve upon this.
