The Plantation Golf Club - Otter Creek Course
About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Go elsewhere! Don’t waste your time and money.
In my 30 years of playing golf this has to be the poorest course I have ever played. Every single green was diseased and there was barely any grass on any of the fairways. Absolutely no sprinklers systems have been used. Over 50% of the fairway shoots were from bare lies. I was with a group of 22 golfers and it was unanimously agreed that we would never go back again. The cost for $35 but it wasn’t worth even $5. Not a single redeeming feature. You have been warned
Otter creek
Best Buy for the money, during the snowbird season. Course is a great layout, and a challenge. My partner and I keep saying once we master number one we will be satisfied.I like the course.
Can’t complain too much for the price but there was an inconsiderate threesome ahead of my cousin and I that were simply horrible and did not offer us to play through. After reaching the 16th hole, we got sick of them and just passed them and skipped the hole to go home. Upon reaching the 17th hole we realized how wide open it was and decided to finish the last 2 holes.
Not in Good Shape
The course is in pretty rough shape. To bad, nice layout and great price.
The staff inside the golf shop
The staff inside the golf shop Are very unfriendly That is why I will probably not going to play it again
Disgracefu Conditions
Booked this on Supreme Golf and Paid $38, It was not worth $15. I have played 85 different golf courses in the state of Florida and this has to rate in the bottom 5%. Fairways are nothing but sand and weeds, You are playing from a terrible lie no matter where you are, At least half of the greens have very liitle grass and you feel like you are putting through a mine field. The course seemed to be fairly busy, but the pace of plat was quite good. IFEEL THAT THE COURSE SUPERINTENDTENT NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY! I will never return and beware if you go.
Horrific
This course was about the worst conditioned course I have played. 67 years old. Paid for 18. Endures nine. Left. Would not have played it for free. Fairways were totally gone. Bump and run was the only play. Nothing airborne. Just horrendous Should not have paid and played.
Finally.....
found the bathroom on hole 15!!! It's hidden behind a fence that looks like it's someone private property!! Heads up Steph, get to know the course!!!
The fourth time is the charm.
This was actually the fourth time we played it since arriving on January 3 from Pennsylvania. The course wasn’t horrible the first three times. We realize it is winter so courses won’t be ideal. However after playing a course north of the villages that was in in absolute pristine conditions, I now realize we don’t have to settle for so much less. Unfortunately the fourth time for us is enough! We had had quite a bit of rain so I’m guessing that contributed to the many poor shots that we didn’t have on the northern course. You can have fairways that are less than ideal, but when the greens are in such deplorable condition it is unacceptable. The slowness of the greens can be forgiven because of all the rain, but the many damaged spots cannot. I really hate to leave such a bad review, but after waiting days to play because of the weather, this outing was truly disappointing. Fortunately we were paired with two great guys to make our day more enjoyable.
Should note when course is under repair
Overall I liked the course, can’t wait to go in the spring or summer for better overall conditions, the greens were like putting on a shag carpet, and also like putting on a sand pile,
They were rewiring the irrigation exposed wires everywhere(low voltage) better signage could be added, pace of play was ok, but they would rather send a foursome then a two some? 2 play quicker than four especially on a day that had many open tee times!
Totally agree.
They are the worst. Clueless fools.
