About
The Plantation at Leesburg offers two championship courses, the Cranes Roost Course and the Otter Creek Course. The Otter Creek Course features an interesting layout that is wide open on the front nine, while the back nine is rife with towering trees. Situated on hilly terrain, the golf course features gently rolling fairways and the medium-sized greens have some slight undulations. As its name suggests, a creek flows through the golf course and comes into play on several holes throughout. The semi-private Plantation at Leesburg provides two excellent golf courses, but they also feature a practice facility and staff of golf professionals to help players of all skill levels.

Going down hill
I have played here many times. Fairways and rough are the worst I've seen. I really like the course but it appears to be suffering from neglect. I hope it gets some attention soon.
Not what it was.
I have been coming here for.years because it's fairly close to.my home and its.cheap. Booked as.a.single because Covids keeping my usual.foursome away. I asked for my own cart.because of.Covid. I.was.charged.$10 extra.Not happy but I paid it. Greens are in terrible shape. Fairways not.much better. Its too bad because it used to be one of our favorites.
Very bad conditions
I played the course a few months ago and it was just okay, but last week I played again and it was terrible! Some of the tee boxes we're so rutted I could not find a level stance and most of them were in bad shape. The greens were an atrocity. They also had the sprinklers running while we were playing. The price is cheap but I still won't be back for a very long time.
Bring extra golf balls
the course was challenging but the tees were in poor condition and fairways were had large areas not watered and no grass.
Shot Makers Course
Great course. Not overwhelming in length but you have to place the ball properly to score. Yes its wet in areas because its part of a protected wildlife wetlands. Stay out of those areas. Bar is nice. My only issue was with the GM or Asst. Gm. I was 5 minutes late for my t-time and he gave me a look I didn’t like. Then he couldn’t find me on the t-sheet. I told him it was pre paid through golf now. He gave me another look I didn’t like walked over to the fax and grabbed a stack of faxes for the very nice gentleman that checked me in. He didn’t ruin my day.. I came to play golf not make him happy.
Disappointed
Second time golfing here and probably my last. The old man at the front desk is flat out rude but what did it for me was the sprinklers on while we were golfing. I couldn’t finish two holes on the front 9 because sprinklers were running directly on the greens.
Under new ownership
Few good lies in fairways. Mostly sparce grass with some areas close by to play from for those who are not purist about the game. Greens irratic with spare spots along with uncut grassy areas. Tee blocks also space. In their favour management is taking proactive steps for improvement after taking over from trul bad management. Still quite playable and can be enjoyed if one is not overly serious about their game at whatever level
We enjoyed our round overall.
