Trump National Doral Miami - Golden Palm Course

I didn't care for the course set-up. Very penal without safe options to play away from trouble. The smallest miss puts you into water or other hazard. Great facilities and conditioning.

This course has 6 par 3"s, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's. The course is well maintained: greens are in great shape, tboxes are level, fairways are great and the rough is fair. The holes make you think about risk and reward.

Get there early to enjoy the practice facilities. The range is in great shape and usually has balls. Occasionally they will be short but the last time I was there they had plenty. Make sure to hit a few from the chipping area and give yourself time on the putting green.

Stay after to enjoy the champions sports bar and grill. Your first round of drinks is the price in pennies of your score. So if you shot a 100 the first drink is $1.00. Make sure to bring your score card and a coupon that you get from the starter.

Parking is valet and can be a sticker shock if you are not prepared. It is expensive 20.00-34.00 plus tips 10.00-20.00 for attendants and cart boys. So plan on adding in those costs. However, they can be offset a little by not paying for a bucket of range balls and the convenience of valet parking and getting your clubs cleaned. You may also decide to use Lyft or Uber if you think you may drink.

If you need to shower before you leave they have a great locker room. If you are on a business trip this would be a great place to play before you catch your flight. They provide full size lockers and concierge services for luggage and you can shower before your flight

The course starts off strong but dwindles at 16-18. Appears they squeezed those holes in.

Only pay cash to the cart attendant, she charged my card $50 for two drinks as opposed to $14. This would not deter me from playing there, just make sure you have cash.

If you're looking for a course in mint condition, this one is. The course layout was great. The bunkers have beautiful white sand. Plenty of water in play.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Next time I visit Miami I'll be trying another one of the courses at Doral.

From the greeting at the valet to the locker room tour to the end of round drinks, the staff was excellent. Course is in excellent shape and was very challenging in the wind. Decent value if you can book a hot deal on golfnow.

Nothing wrong with staff, course or lay out but it is worth $75 not $150 in the afternoon

Wow. Tremendous facility in impeccable condition. Very good layout, lots of water and perfect greens? Great service of course. Pace of play was under 4 hours.

Played 18 in just under 4 hours. Great shape, staff treats you well, hope the country runs as smoothly as this place :)

Can't say anything bad about this course. Pristine Condition tee to green. Very playable with some challenging water holes. I would not pay the normal $250 rate for the round, but Golf Now saved me like $100+. Definitely worth over $100+. Hotel and accommodations was incredible. Staff treats you like a king from when you walk in, to the locker room attendant, and the valet.

I played this course using a great hot deal. It is a tough course in extremely good condition. Surprisingly thee club was slow and pace of play was phenomenal. We were able to get in just over 3 hours.

Played the Golden Palm and let me tell you Trump did it right. Really nice layout with the right amount of water coming into play. Self parked in close proximity of club house and shuttle picked us up in less than 5 minutes. Merchandise pricing seemed reasonable considering the type of resort. The whole course is manicured extremely well. The greens run consistent with the right level of undulations to make your round challenging and fun. Trump water in the cart was a nice amenity. The only problem I experienced occurred at the range. Parked our cart at the range and while we were hitting balls one of the staff took our cart with my cell phone and hat in the cart. We had taken our bags off the cart while hitting balls so maybe they thought it wasn't in use but thought they would have seen my cell phone and hat on the cart. Was able to recover both items and cart about 15 minutes later. Lesson learned if you hit balls on their range just leave your bag on your cart and take only the clubs you plan to hit on the range. I've played TPC Sawgrass both the Dye and Stadium courses and this one compares. All in all I give it a 5 star.

Some Challenging holes, nice pace of play, greens in good condition. Trump has done a great job in overhauling this course, a pleasure to play.

Played the Gold course, it is in its second season since being redesigned. Conditions will improve in a few years once the grass matures. It will be a wonderful track once that happens.

This is a beautiful course and the entire experience was just fabulous ! I will definitely play here again !

The course was in great shape, even though it has rained. Staff was very halpful. You feel like you are playing on a top notch golf course.
