Trump National Doral Miami - Golden Palm Course
About
The Golden Palm Course (formerly known as Gold Course) is one of five 18-hole courses at the Trump National Doral Miami. The courses offer a variety of golfing options to accommodate players of any skill level. The Golden Palm Course has a traditional Floridian layout that features subtly contoured greens and narrow fairways that are lined with trees. There is also strategic bunkering throughout as well as water hazards that come into play on 16 of the 18 holes. The golf course has a notable finishing hole that has an island green. In addition to the five courses, Trump National Doral Miami is also home to a noted golf school.

Blue Monster 1st tee Photo submitted by u000008216192 on 01/15/2017
Good course
Very dificult a lot of sands in all course !! But its very Nice !! The greens are in good conditons
Needs a year
The course is new, so cart paths only. The greens putted well, but are hard and will not hold even high shots. Better value courses around, not worth the hot deal, and not worth the $250 they are asking. Short staffed in the pro shop as well.
This course was unbelievable
1st class golf resort, very expensive!!!
Definitely would love to play it again!!!
This course is fair but CART PAD onlly makes it BAD
Make sure that before you go to play they tell you that the course is only CART PAD. Carts do not work on fairways. Long fairways to walk. Not worth it to walk from cart pads.
Fast greens.
Only ONE set of bathrooms in the whole course and they are NOT WORKING (LOCKED).
There are NO balls cleaners in the Tees or any other place.
There were only one whole (17th) with water but NO CUPS.
In general, a BAD EXPERIENCE and for US$ 270 just a bad course.
Play there for the first time and LAST.
Mr. Trump needs to visit the course and FIRE few of the managers to improve. It is a mess.
Parking: If you do not pay for Valet Parking, you have to drive more than seven blocks to self-park.
Clubs have to be left and pick up in front of the Hotel. Delivering of the clubs to course or pick up takes 15 or more minutes.
very challenging lots of water
this course is immaculate the greens are the best I've ever seen just redone this summer very very playable I was fortunate to play the red tiger and not the gold palms was very glad they made the change gold palms ain't quite mature yet just got to hit it straight
Not the time to visit Doral
Booked tee time at last minute.Arrived, paid my fees and went out to get my clubs that valet brought up-got the cart-had to ask directions to the range-no tees, range all torn up for revamp, very little grass, no yardages, lots of stations had no balls, no one there to take care of the guests-got on course, no scorecard, no water or ice in cart, course recently remodeled and no carts allowed but was never told until I called to ask why my cart kept making me back up off the fairway. Course in excellent condition but no yardages on course and yardages are from cart path
Golf course is good but facilities lacking during construction.
The golf course is well maintained and the staff is helpful and friendly. The Doral site is still under construction and the construction equipment and muddy and messy adjoining golf course as well as the lack of restaurant and other facilities detracted from the overall experience.
Good Layout
Played the first week of Dec, 2013. Very nice course at a reasonable cost. The big problem is we had to pay for parking!!! I have never paid for parking in all the rounds of golf I have played over the years. We spent $250.00 for two of us with food and drinks and then they charge $8.00 to park. It is not the amount of $8.00 dollars that's the problem but the principle! Raise the green fees by 2 or 3 dollars each player and eliminate the parking fee. Heard the Blue Monster will be $450.00 when it opens next week. Thanks Donald!!
It is Doral after all...
Expectations are always high. Greens are just perfect. Hard to find a ball mark on them. Fairways are in very good shape. Lots of construction work make the stay a little noisy. At the time of our visit, they were just starting to redo the red course and the were building a bridge to get to the MacLean course I believe. My wife and I played in less than 3 hours.
A bit run down especially if your paying full price
I had read various criticisms of the Doral set up on your site. Most of these were a little harsh bearing in mind that the place is having millions spent on it and there are bound to be some issues. The course was in good order considering the recent rain and the greens were excellent. The welcome was pleasant but unless I am mistaken this is no relation to the Gold course I played 30 years ago - it's a fairly mundane course with a few decent holes and the best thing about it was the condition. The pace of play on the back 9 was awful and there were no rangers chasing people along
Doral Trumped
As a local, Doral was always a great golf destination for my weekend golf group, but now it's golf and resort experience on PED's!! Trump is in the middle of first class renovations renovating the Blue Monster and the Red course while leaving the Gold and White courses for the members and guests. New golf carts, new attitude, new practice range, new putting greens, in 2 words "First Class"!! I highly recommend a Trump National Doral experience.
The Courses and Facility will be very nice once completed
We played the Gold course. It was in very nice shape and the greens were well maintained. Nice layout and certainly playable for most handicaps. The facility has 5 courses, 2 were under construction.
The day we played it was on the incoming flight path to MIA, so there was quite a bit of jet traffic noise.
Trump appears to be investing millions (?) in refurbishment and upgrades.
The only modest down side is I was told club rental was $50 on phone it was actually $85. Sets were Rocket Ballz/Rocket Bladez and were in quite nice condition. Green fees were $105. Included cart, GPS, free bag of 6 balls in memento bag.
No complaints, worth the $200 for the experience.
Great name, decent course.
Course was in decent shape. Greens were fast. Pace was average. I played the Westin Diploamt the day before and thought it was a better course than Doral Gold course.
Great facility and great value
I was expecting a rather snobbish place but was very impressed with friendly helpful saff, fantastic course and great value
Amazing lay out
Course in excellent condition, beautiful! Very well maintain although they are doing major renovation to the other courses and hotel.
Excellent Course!!!!
Got a great deal on golfnow.com. Great value for money. Greens were very fast, course condition excellent!!!. Will definitely play this course again when in the area.
As always Trump Doral is Excellent Option.
Course is excellent. The rain delayed the pace, but the course was in great conditions.
The staff is GREAT ! ! ! ! !
For me, the only downside is the parking price, $12 for self and $18 for valet. Even the 12 is expensive, considering your are expending more than $80 to a round of golf. Sum all you get almost $100.
My suggestion is get early and play twice same day.
Great course
Course is a little pricey, but it is a good course. They just aerated the greens, so there was a lot of sand but still rolled pretty true. Great course to play a round on. I will be back.
Good course for the BOGO Miami Deal
I used the BOGO deal and it was great! Course is in good condition, staff is friendly, the only bad thing was the planes flying over constantly. It was quite annoying, but once you get through that the course is fun.
Some expectations about this course have been defrauded
No way, this course is over priced.
Very poor maintenance. Almost greens were with patchs in the collars. Water hazards without yellow or red sticks.
195$ official rate (afortunately I paid 95$ and is quite expensive!) is over priced!!
