First time playing this course loved it the wind will play a factor in your shots it’s fun track to play pace of play for a 2:36 tee time on a Friday was amazing played 18 holes in 3 1/2 Hr
Nice layout & good conditions
First time to play here. Enjoyed 3.5hrs 18hole afternoon play. Hope it can place more signs for next hole for the first time player. Except the bunker, it was pretty decent condition. We enjoyed!! Bring a lot of ice water and beers... you need them!
First time golf at Monarch Bay
I have always wanted to golf at Monarch Bay, which growing up in the East Bay was known as Tony Lema? and the last time I was there was in the 60s when a cousin was having a wedding reception....
Anyway, the course is in fantastic shape and the greens are true and fair. Pace of play is the only concern and we had to wait for almost 30 minutes at the last par 3 along the shore.
I will definitely go back and enjoy the cool breeze on a mid afternoon round.
Monarch Bay Golf Course
Course had some great views of the bay and San Francisco. At times, I little windy. Overall, had a great time playing golf—would play course again
Fun golf course. Lot's of well placed sand traps
Good course. They really need to put work into fixing the tee boxes
Pace of play at 340pm was soooo slow
You know what you get with weather and it was windy and I suppose you know what you get with the pace of play here as well.
However left after 12 as there were 3 foursomes on a par 4
Cons: the course design was good and not too crowded and the staff was friendly.
Pros: There were some contrstruction on the hole 7. My ball went there cannot pick up.
there was only one bridge to cross the water and had to go around. On the course, cannot see ocean.
Tee Boxes and Fairways were in terrible condition. Constantly trying to get a lie without being in goose 💩. Even a few greens couldn’t get a clean path to the cup. Not even close to being worth $95 per round!!
Nice course
Very good golf course. The pace of play is very slow. Try not to make other plans that day. If you are paired up with other golfers, it is going to take you a while. And this was on a Thursday. I can't imagine the weekend. Overall, the back 9 has good views of SF.
