Poor pace of play

First off #1 in the morning as a threesome. For some reason the course sends off front and back all morning so when we made the turn we hit a brick wall of foursomes and we went down to a snails pace. Extremely frustrating for $115 round and going off before everyone else.

Good value

A very good layout. I believe there were 5 sets of tees. Play from the tees based on your ability. That’s only if you want to enjoy your round. Staff was great! There’s a very nice cart girl and she has a well stocked cart. Greens were fair. Don’t be above the hole. Hit it straight!

Terrific layout

Excellent course. Greens were best I’ve played in the area. After making an early afternoon tee time we wound up in a shotgun start. We moved ok for about seven holes then ran into slow players on a par 3. Rest of the day was slow. Interestingly the outside staff was quite gruff. Pro shop & grill folks were accommodating though. I’d definitely play here again!

Great find at Riverwood

Wonderful round of golf on well manicured course...very interesting and challenging...but fair to your individual handicaps. Would highly recommend...unusual to find such a good deal on golf now, but, we only paid $49.00 each!

Excellent, challenging course surrounded by natural beauty

This course was too hard for me, but I did manage to par two holes. This is Showbird 's wife speaking.

The course is in excellent winter condition and it's beautiful. The greens were a bit slow, but the second fastest we have played in SW FL in winter this year. Typical, as good greens are left a little shaggy in the dry season so they don't burn out. They were consistent and very green. The rough was tough but fair.

The sand was very nice. We played a late twightlight rate and got 11 holes in just over 2 hours, before the carts had to be returned. Yes, carts are slow, nosiy and gas powered. Not worth ranting about, though.
