About
Located in Gainesville, Chicopee Woods Golf Course is one of the area's most popular public courses. The 27-hole layout is divided intro three nines that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The nines, the Village, the School, and the Mill, share a beautiful rolling landscape provided by the surrounding foothills of the Appalachians. The School nine is the second longest of the three. Water comes into play on four holes, more than on any of the other nines. The course finishes with a memorable water hole. The par-5 ninth hole has two ponds that wrap around the green. Besides the water, you'll also have strategically placed bunkers to contend with. There are many challenging holes at Chicopee Woods G.C., but none of the courses are overly punishing for high handicappers.

Nice track
Enjoyed the layout and course condition was good for early in the year. Construction on one hole of School was disappointing but generally a very good experience.
Excellent breakfast sandwich in the snack bar and drink cart girl was awesome.

Pace is a major problem
Course is in good condition and is a good layout. Pace of play was horrible, it was a Sunday so you expect a little slower, but this was unbearable. There was a point when our group was one of 4 on the 14th hole but when you pulled up the GPS map that shows all the carts on the course, not a single group was on the 16th and 17th holes. That is directly a reflection on the rangers keeping pace moving or not.

Great course overall!
Beautiful well kept course!! However, the only negative feedback I have is that my friend and I had poor direction from the staff! It was our first time playing at Chicopee and we had no direction on where to start or what to do! We were just expected to know where to go, other than that it was great. We will definitely be returning!!

Always a great experience
I have played Chicopee 4-5 times, and I always have a great time. The course is in really good shape, pace of play (especially with the GPS carts as rangers) was not an issue at all, and staff is always very friendly and outgoing. An overall very well run operation and worth the very reasonable price tag!

Late and extremely slow
Teed off 25+ minutes past our original tee time. Three groups waiting to tee off on the first 5 holes. No help from pro shop or Marshall for pace of play. 5+ hour round
