Pinecrest Golf Club

Overall a very nice layout. It rained quite heavily last night so bunkers were hard pan and unplayable. I finished at noon and still they had not mowed the greens or touched the bunkers. I love the layout as it is filled with many shot making opportunities. A very nice range and large restaurant area. Fix the bunkers and now those slow greens and you have a great value a short drive just off the island.

Great value - greens were excellent. Both my son in law and I enjoyed the day very much.

There are not a shortage of courses in the HHI area, but there are few that will provide a value for your dollar like Pinecrest. We were with family on vacation, we were not on a golf vacation. Great to get away for a few hours, enjoy the beautiful course, and not feel like my wallet was hosed at the end of the day.

Challenging course, needs a little work on guidance around the course. We enjoyed playing and will play again.

The greens on the front nine were in poor condition. Difficult to obtain a true roll. Back nine greens recently aerated.

Everything great about this course except no drink cart going around if you want something get it before or at the turn.

Many of the courses in the area are expensive this time of year, it is nice to find a bargain. Course is in good shape and seemed to favor my fade off the tee box.

This course has a great layout, but the greens are Bermuda and are very very slow with a lot of grain and are spotty with dirt in some spots. We played on a Saturday morning after the Fourth of July and they had not been mowed in a few days and they were bumpy from being punched a few weeks ago it appears without any sand being out on them. If they just mowed them more often they would improve dramatically. There are better alternatives for the same price in the Blufton area. Entire group agreed when we come back to Hilton Head, which we do often, we will not play it again.

Very nice course and great condition. Very playable but had some challenges with water and course layout. Woudl play again. Great value !

For the price Pinecrest is hard to beat. Course is in good shape, very challenging and pace of play was quick. Only complaints are that getting food at turn took too long and there was no diagram of the holes on the card or signs so you had no idea what the course layout was like.

I really enjoyed my whole experience at Pinecrest. The course was in excellent shape. Can't believe I only paid $22.00 for a round. Go out and try this place!

The course was in great shape. Greens a little bumpy due to recent punching - but that's understandable. Super fairways, roughs and paths. Very tight with a lot of ob, water, and bunkers.

Played while on vacation at Hilton Head Island. Had played at another course in the area earlier in the week. Pinecrest was far superior in terms of scenery, condition, and value. Would absolutely return. Challenging course but good for all levels of golfers. In great condition. Greens a little bumpy from a recent aeration but that was expected. Highly recommend it.

Challenging golf course with well positioned fairway bunkers and huge greens. Front side is a little tighter with woods lining most fairways. Backside opens a little, but more water to deal with. Par 5"s are solid risk/reward but smart golf makes them 3-shot holes. Par 3's are excellent! Variation in the holes makes it a great 18 and one of the best values in the area.

Greens and fairways were in excellent condition for June play. Probable not a walking course with some pretty good treks between a few of the holes.

Hilton Head aerates the courses just before the summer gets into full gear and the golf is marginal for most courses in the area during this time but the greens had recovered quickly here and the fairways were great. Only problem is a lot of water and sloped fairways to the water.

Great course and very challenging, you need to have at least your B+ game to play from the white tees to score under 90. The layout is excellent and greens are mending well from recent plugging. In a week or two, by July 1 should be perfect.

The course is in very good shape overall. Unfortunately, the staff didn't say anything about the greens having been aerated. Too bad because it takes birdie opportunities out of play and makes for a very frustrating time.

only played 9 holes due to rain, but the front nine were somewhat challenging, course is in good condition and am looking forward to going back when the sun is shining.

My son and I played for first time and found course to be a good value for the money. It was open enough to be fair but challenging with some water holes. Would recommend for vacationers looking for fair

I must admit, I did not know what to expect when I arrived and there were at least 100 people on the driving range, chipping g range and putting green. They were hosting a week long golf lessons. However, I was reassured when they said no problem getting a spot on the driving range to warm up.
The course is in excellent condition. The greenest were recently plugged and sanded but that did not present much of an issue. The greens are large and have some rise and flow.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
I would recommend this course over a lot of the courses in HHI area. I will consider this a must play on future visits to the area.
