About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Edgewater
Great course and a great value. The conditions were excellent for a public track and the staff was very accommodating. Would recommend to anyone in the area and definitely worth a 2 hour drive!

Pace of play.
5-1/2 - 6 hour round. Waited 10-15 minutes between every shot on the back 9. Ranger said a drunk 4-some was 3 holes behind. They should have been kicked off the course or told to pass a couple of holes to catchup. Otherwise, Edgwater is my favorite course.

Course was not ready for play. greens were not mowed from 4-18

Wonderful Course
Challenging, beautiful, and fun. If you have a fast pace of play like my twosome, you'll have plenty of time later on in the round to look for balls if you lost yours (found 15-20 lol). Would definitely play again.

Nice course - it rained
Great course, but we got rained out on the 13th hole. Is there anyway to get a rain check or credit from GolfNow for not being able to play? Please advise

Great track
Great course and great value for money. Well worth the drive. Wish there was a real clubhouse/restaurant but maybe in the future.

Groups cannot play through which is absolutely ridiculous
Played as a foursome. Out of common courtesy we let 2 twosomes play through. The ranger then approached us and said play faster. I replied that we let 2 twosomes play through. He rudely said “do not do that, play faster”
I have never been told NOT to let groups play through. After thinking about it, I drove up to the ranger and asked how far behind we were. He could not tell me. I asked what the standard pace of play was. He could not tell me. He then said we are allowed 3 to 4 minutes per hole. I questioned that and he stuck to that statement. We ended the round at four hours and 30 minutes exactly and that is with leading three groups play through. After the round I questioned the no playing through a policy and was told that playing through is not allowed at this course. I have been playing golf for decades and I’ve never encountered this. I was informed that one of the twosomes that we allowed to play through was the clubhouse manager. So he played through said thank you and informed the Ranger that we let him play through. He didn’t have the courage to tell us that playing through was not allowed he simply disobeyed his own rule and played through then reported us to the ranger.
I plan on calling the club pro and discussing this with him. Anyway, that Ranger was extremely rude to us. His job should be picking the range or washing carts, not having any contact with customers because he is clearly not fit for that job. Do yourself a favor and avoid Edgewater you will be better off playing Lancaster golf club, the staff is friendly and the course is great.
