About
Edgewater Golf Club has a peaceful setting tucked away in Lancaster. The course feels completely secluded with a layout that tumbles across rolling hills covered with a blanket of matures trees. The terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing the layout with dramatic elevation changes and plenty of water. In addition to the natural hazards, there are numerous strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. An abundance of wildlife also calls the golf course home, so don't be surprised if you see deer or turkeys roaming the course. One of Edgewater Golf Club's most memorable holes is the par-4 seventh. This tricky hole is a downhill dogleg left that forces you to drive right-center of the fairway, followed by a tough approach to a green that sits on the bank above Fishing Lake Creek.

Many improvements
Glad to see new infrastructure items such as restrooms and starter house. Tews and fairways in great shape. Bent grass greens suffering in the heat.

Reliable Edgewater
Drive an hour to play here everytime and keep coming back. Just challenging enough and the course looks better every time. One major problem is players not repairing their divots on the greens AND wish they had a beverage cart driving around. Other than that, great value course.

Early Morning Round
We had the first tee time of the day at 6:54 am, so we were able to pay at our preferred pace and finished in three hours. The course was in great shape and the weather was perfect since we were able to beat the heat. The staff were very supportive of getting us on the course as soon as possible (we were early).

Great Course!
The course is really nice. Great condition and a great layout. My only negative comment is in regards to their bunkers. There is way too much sand on the walls.

Hidden gem
Course layout beautiful. Staff very friendly. Price to play very fair. Unfortunately there were countless divot marks on the greens which made putting challenging. Still, I loved the course

One of our Favorites
Drive from Greenville to meet family and friends and play here. Few rough patches here and there on the greens and fairways but overall in good condition as usual. Fun layout with a couple scenic holes - definetly one of our favorites to play.

Well maintained course
Course is well maintained as always. Overall greens are in good shape with a few blemishes. Fairways are in really good shape. The major problem is pace of play. We had a foursome that was playing so so. But we were held up at every hole by the threesome in front of us. Spoke to a ranger who stated they were 10 minutes ahead of schedule. No way they were ahead of schedule while holding up a foursome. And they had no one in front of them holding them up.

Great Hidden Gem
Course was beautiful rolling hills along and near the Catawba River. Disappointed at lack of on-course service. It was nearly 100* and the beverage cart never made a pass around the course.

Nice layout
Played Sunday afternoon, front nine pace good. Back nine not so good. Behind a foursome of 30 somethings. More interested in their beer than pace of play. All were giving lessons to each other. Hitting 2/3 balls off the tees and not playing ready golf. The course had a number of holes that were cart path only, but the fairways on these holes were dry, not even soft or damp ? This added to the 3 hour back nine. Conditions were good, greens a little bumpy. Will try and play again while passing thru.
