Edgewater Golf Club

Course was amazing, staff were amazing! Great conditions and they are really taking care of it you can tell. Just disappointed in the limited space and options after golf to sit down settle the score and have some beers.

Over all good, but not great. Fair ways have not come in and there were a lot of cabbage heads in the fairway…

Greens were good and fast…

Drove over an hour to get to this gem of a golf course , very worth the drive . Great layout , good conditions and a good value on Golf Now !

Great place to play and well worth the drive considering how greedy the muni’s are in Charlotte. Wonderful layout and tough but fair. Only complaint was the large bucket of range balls was only about 30 balls. The marshals made it right, so just something to note to get two buckets.

I had a lot of fun with this course. There was some challeging holes and some easy holes that I made challenging.

Great course, no issues with fairways, greens or pace of play. If you book a "Hot Deal" tee time, expect to be treated a little differently than other guests or members. I was ready to go and there were two open tee times plus a single before mine, but I was told they wouldn't allow "Hot Deal" tee time holders to go before their booked time. The pro shop attendant was a little short with me once they realized I had booked a "Hot Deal" and the starter was not very friendly at first, but he did loosen up a little the more we talked. They don't seem to be so happy with GolfNow.

Tee boxes need work. Could not put a tee in the ground on several of them. Also, many of the tee boxes are not level. Purse conditions seem to be going down hill. Need to put some.money into the cold course and not just the parking lot.

Most bunkers had way too much sand, your feet should not get buried in the sand when you walk into them.

Really Enjoyed our round at Edgewater. As an average golfer it was nice to play the sloping fairways and steep elevation changes from Tee to green! Shot placement is key to a low score. Course is is good condition for this time of year and the hospitality was superb!

A wonderful place to play. Staff is always very friendly and helpful, course is always in good condition, never had anything but a great day there. Course is challenging from all tees; accuracy is more of a premium than distance. Keep it to yourself though, don't want it to become too difficult to get a time. Ah, what the heck, invite everyone, it's too good not to share.

This a beautiful, well-maintained course. I would play more often if it weren’t 1-14 hours from home. You will use every club in your bag. My only complaint is the last time I played the pin placement was completely ridiculous…right on the slope at the front of the green. If you were long, there was no way the ball would not roll off the green (unless you holed it, and putting uphill to the hole, again, if you didn’t hole it, it would roll back to you and well off the green.

Per USGA guidelines, “The USGA suggests that at least a 2-foot radius surrounding the hole “should be as nearly level as possible and of uniform grade.” The hole shouldn't be placed on a steep slope on which a missed putt from above the hole will roll a long distance past the cup.”

My overall rating was excellent, far better value for the money than surrounding courses. The course and greens were in excellent condition, bunkers were raked and well maintained. The only negative was there were no balls in the hopper at the range. The starter was friendly and went down to the clubhouse to get me additional tokens for the next time.

Great conditions. Too many people bunched up at first tee box which led to a 5 hour round. Greens were great. Fairways pretty good. Some tee boxes could use a little more grass if I’m being picky. Played here many times and never been disappointed.

Beautiful course in great shape! Moderately difficult with an outstanding layout. Constantly in touch with nature with no feeling of being rushed. We felt like we were completely alone in the pines. Will certainly play this course again!

The scenery is beautiful and the course offers lots of contour levels and challenges. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.
