About
Laurel Hill Golf Club has some of the best conditions of any public course in the area, which is why it is popular amongst the locals. It is hard to believe that the club sits where the DC Department of Corrections facility at Lorton used to be located. The layout has a traditional design, but unlike older golf courses it runs a lengthy 7,102 yards from the back tees. The greens are lightning fast and undulating. There is defined contouring throughout the course, which allows for some interesting holes. Although the fairways are wide open they are still punishing towards errant shots. There are dramatic elevation changes throughout the golf course, making a flat lie nearly impossible to find. The course provides a formidable test for even the most seasoned players.

Windy but playable
Was not the best day of golf to play, weather was playable cold but wind made it a bit colder, but as always the course being one of the nicest ones in Northern Virginia made it worthwhile. Staffs were great and accommodating.

Worth the money!
It was my first time and got lucky to play the course at $50.
The staff were super friendly, the fare includes range practice balls,
The course was wonderful.
It is a long course, and difficulty is high.

Awful condition
This is a great layout but course conditions are terrible. Weeds on tee boxes and the middle of fairways. The course is horribly over-watered to the point that you can hit a putt on any green without it hitting 2 or 3 craters from ball marks. Whoever is responsible for the course maintenance needs training or retirement, because there is no way this course is worth the money if you’re a serious player.
