Golf now puts this course in my budget. Interesting layout. Beautiful course. Great value.

FOR THE TIME OF YEAR THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. DO TO FOG HAD TO START A LITTLE LATE BUT THAT WAS NO FAULT OF THE FACILITY. WAS ABLE TO GET IN 18 AT A COURSE WORTHY OF THE MANY COMPLIMENTS I HAD HEARD ABOUT IT. GREAT LAYOUT AND AN OVERALL JOY TO PLAY. PICTURESQUE VIEWS OF SCENIC BEAUTY. QUALITY HOLES AND EVEN A MONTH AFTER PLAYING STILL FEEL THE ENJOYMENT I HAD PLAYING AT THIS MEMORABLE COURSE. AS I WRITE THIS REVIEW A MONTH AFTER PLAYING I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET IN MUCH GOLF. THE WEATHER HASN'T BEEN FAVORABLE SO ITS NICE TO HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF A COURSE WORTH TELLING YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT.

First time playing the course, was damp and cold but greens were in great shape. Very tough course but would like to play it when weather is warm and course is dried out. Only issue we had was the staff (asst. pro?) wasn't friendly at all at check-in.

What a treat!!! Cold December day so only saw one twosome on the course besides me. At 7,800 yards from all the way back what a truly challenging course especially considering it was only 45 degrees. Great layout with a lot of character, slight elevation changes and beautiful landscape. Fairways were brown since they don't overseed, but the greens were in excellent condition. Would highly recommend to anyone, just make sure you choose the appropriate set of tees. Only downside is lots of distance between greens and tees so course cannot be walked.

This course was very well-maintained. Challenging tee shots with many bunkers coming into play for longer hitters. Nice fast true rolling greens.

I had the course pretty much all to myself. It was a beautiful, serene place to play, but their grass is a kind that turns brown in the Winter months, so since I was playing by myself, I had trouble locating where my balls were landing. Very challenging course though and I got a great deal through Golfnow.

Course is overrated. It was not in bad shape, but certainly was not what I had heard of the track. Would not make the travel to play this track again.

Even though the fairway grass is dormnat and brown this time of year, the fairways are in great condition. Don't miss the fariway though, your ball will roll to the bottom of a hill or find one of the cavernous bunkers. No worries. You will still have a good lie, just a harder approach shot.

Enjoyed playing the course. It's challenging enough but the fairways are liberal and the greens are large. The course is in exceptional condition and I played it in November 2013

Played mid-week, mid-day and as usual Viniterra was an absolute pleasure to visit. Although most greens were heavy with falling leaves, that is golf in early November here. Still rolled true and quick.. Balls stopped nicely on approach shots. All but 2 Blue tee Boxes were in good shape. Rye overseed on 3 of them but that didn't affect us. Fairway and greenside bunkers were nicely mown and well-raked.. and plenty of good sand in this late season. The Staff always bring a cart and a smile to your car for loading... private club ambiance. Current Membership deal is the best on offer in the region. Range and Practice Area exceed any in Central Virginia. As always, a great Rees Jones design and a quiet, unhurried round. Go Play!

Have played many courses in the area this year we enjoyed it so much we played 9 more holes will definitely play this 1 a few more times next year

The course was in very good shape considering the time of year we played. The scenery was absolutley beautiful, and even though the bermuda grass was dormant, the course look just as good. You definitley do not want to be playing from the rough on this course. And the bunker placement makes you pay for wayward shots.

This is a very large course. All the holes are separated from each other which is nice.
There is a comprehensive practice area including chipping, sand practice, and a large driving range.The staff was very cordial and happy to have us there.
On the course the greens are excellent. Smooth, fast and puttable. The fairways are generous. Each hole is tree lined exactly as the other. I found it boring, All the holes look the same from the tee boxes to the trees to the mounding to the shape of the bunkers.You feel like your playing the same hole over and over again. Pack a lunch because there is no stopping after 9. It's like a long day of hiking. The pace of play was over 4 1/2 hours and that was only playing 14 holes. We left. The course was not crowded. They must get a lot of Mr. Golf's up there. .

great practice area, great course, decent conditions. greens had recently been aerated, but rolled true. great job of maintaining while not affecting play TOO much

This course was on our list for a long time and we finally decided to come out. Nice area, it is a winery as well. The course was excellent, the website could have better representations of each hole, but playing is believing. Grass was browning a bit in the fairways as it is that time of year, however each hole is isolated from the others. That makes it quite nice and there is very little distraction. Great experience and HIGHLY recommend. The only disappointment might have been the staff, who seemed a little is distracted for such a price.....

The starter said we were to maintain a four hour place of play. We quit after 2.5 on the front nine, and never saw a ranger

Grabbed the "hot deal" for a hot Saturday afternoon. Arrived early for the tee time and was able to go out early, which was great.

First time on the course, greens were excellent, lots of bunkers...was able to visit a few.

Drink cart attendant was super friendly and came by twice on the round which was nice on a hot afternoon.

Can't wait to go play this course again.

The greens are excellent. Beautiful woodlands between holes. A large number of well maintained sand traps. Six different tees to accommodate all levels. Nice to play golf then stop at the winery afterwards.
