Interesting course

Interesting course with variety of holes. Well signed holes with details of each hole on the tee. Generally wide fairways. Greens deceptive in respect of speed and contours. Good course for the average golfer.

A new gem

We found this course on Teeofftimes and what a gem we found.. A well conditioned course starting with a straight but testing par 3 and The 18th is a great finishing hole too... All The greens were simply outstanding, much credit to all involved.

All the staff who we met on the course and in the clubhouse afterwards were all very friendly. A refreshing change to be honest. Everyone you walked past said hello and time to see how you played..

Highly recommended if you fancy a challenge, and well worth a visit.

Good value golf

The course is in good condition in the main- the main let down being the greens which are very bare in places- every time I've visited they have been fast but on this occasion ( particular as the wind was blowing) it was impossible to pitch a ball on the green and hold. Similarly, downhill putting is made perilous- like putting on an ice rink (I imagine)

That said, the fairways are playing well, it's a quiet course (perhaps because of the howling wind mentioned previously) and is excellent value for money particularly when compared to some more prestigious courses.

Pleasantly surprised

Our first visit to Accrington will not be our last. Great value for money course and our beloved Pendle Hill followed us most of the way. The course is on our doorstep and we had no idea how much we'd enjoy it.

Best greens around

Without doubt the best and fastest greens I have ever played on (and I've played courses all over the world!). I have recently taken the game back up and have been playing different courses in the local area with a view to becoming a member. After playing at Accrington I have decided it will be here I become a member, even though it's not my closest course I was that impressed! From the friendly greeting in the pro shop to the super quick greens, I was impressed with everything. I believe there is a new head greenkeeper who is enthusiastic and has made a huge difference (according to the member I played along with). I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to becoming a member.
