Very friendly golf club
I played alnmouth this morning 11/06/17 and firstly I would just like to comment on how friendly everyone was from members to staff they made you feel very welcome.
Course was in great condition, greens ran true if not the fastest but after all the rain we have had they were nice. Not the longest ov courses until the wind gets up but what they have done is positioned bunkers very well on the course, there's no hiding from them so either be brave and take them on or lay up.
Clubhouse is nice along with the food (all day brunch) and drink less than £7 for two pints is good value these days.
I will play this course again as I really enjoyed it as you would I'm sure.
Tc
Excellent course , well kept both fairways and greens, and well kept real ale in the club house-- great day
Great course fab views
First time playing Alnmouth and I will definately be back to play again. Lovely views on course.
Golfing
Great weather conditions and it was a pleasure to play the course. Excellent greens and fairways. The course manicuring was the best that I have seen for a long time. Little bit on the expensive side but overall a great experience.
Stunning views
We played this course last year in the mist and rain and were unable to see how lovely it is. This year it was sunny but windy. The views are stunning all the way round and the course was in perfect condition. We really enjoyed it - several challenges too which makes it interesting. We shall certainly return in the future as we really enjoyed it and love Northumberland.
Top Northumbrian course
I've been coming to this course for years now, and it just seems to get better and better. They must have spent ten of thousands of pounds on renovating the locker room and the course infrastructure and its enhanced the overall experience, so well done to all concerned.
Plus the staff are excellent and so helpful and the food is always spot on.
A perfect end to a great Holiday
We were on holiday for a week in Alnmouth and decided to have a round of golf at Foxton Hall on a beautiful Friday morn. The weather was idealic and the course was not busy, had a friendly and warm welcome from the pro in the shop. Course layout, views and conditions were superb, with some very interesting holes and I'm sure if its windy and rains it would of made the golf a lot more challenging than the conditions I enjoyed. Excellent value for money as well, Thanks for the experience.
Super course but
Super course, lots of very tough holes. Played quite long in the wind today. Only drawback was a four ball that refused to let me through. Being a single player waiting on every tee and approach shot got quite frustrating but that takes nothing away from the course, staff or amenities. Thouroghly enjoyed playing this gem of a course
Golf weekend in Northumberland
Payed the course a couple of days after the greens had been tyned but they had recovered well. Played on a windy day but course was in great condition. First 9 holes were super but we were a bit annoyed when a 4 ball jumped in at the tenth and turned a lovely round into a frustrating one. They played very slow even for a 4 ball and never invited us through.
Overall a nice course but need to ensure those coming from driving range don't just pop in for a few holes and annoy everyone else.
Foxton Hall Inspiration
Excellent course in great condition and stunning costal views.
Front 9 the more difficult so take advantage of scoring on the home straight.
Friendly staff and a good range of bar food.
One course to visit and take in other local courses over a 3 day period.
warm welcome
we were greeted by a warm welcome in the pro shop. straight onto the course which despite the rain of late was in excellent condition. we even managed to order bacon sandwiches on no7 which we were able to collect whilst going onto the 10th.
all was good I will play here again.
Always enjoy our game here
This is one of the best courses and facilities in Northumberland. When you take into account the competitive green fees it makes for a very good golfing experience.
Golfing at its best
Well presented course in lovely condition with warm and friendly staff.
Quality course
We 3 player's really enjoyed our game here. Its a lovely course and fantastic value in March. We got a tee for £10 each via Golf Now.Many bunkers but I got out of the 3 I went in great.A decent 32 points with a sublime birdie finish.A lot of variation in the holes. We will be back in an Open or twilight deal

Beautiful coastal course
This course is one of the oldest in England and is set on the Northumberland coast line overlooking the North Sea. However, unlike most coastal courses this is not a links course but parkland.
It's a tough start with the first two longish par fours with blind approach shots followed by a long par four across the burn and then a dog leg par 4.
These lead you one of the prettiest holes you will ever play - a 165 yrd par 3 that runs along the beach.
The course is an absoljute gem and would recommend it to anyone.
