Fantastic Course
First time playing there and it is a well, all rounded golf course. Some very difficult shots but also some very easy ones too so perfect for the experienced golfer and also for people just starting out. Greens for me were awkward to read, missed a birdie and par chance, as the greens looked like they slope and elevate but taking the shot to suit, ended up just going straight..more towards the fact of my inexperience maybe but still something to bear in mind (attached 4 pictures of where the par on the 7th hole and birdie on the 18th were from and where they ended). Great value for money at £30 a round and the course itself, it is a lovely laid out course. A strong 8/10 for me in comparison to other courses I have played.
Blyth Golf Club.
Always convenient as it's less than a 5 minute drive from my house but as usual a regrettable decision to play here. 6 of the greens had been scarified & top dressed (in Augus) & another (the 4th) was just compressed mud. Pace of play was excellent as it only took 3 hours for a four ball & the 1 member of staff I dealt with in the pro shop was very helpful & friendly.
Fantastic condition
Found the course to be in overall excellent condition when most other courses in the area seem to still be recovering from the wet winter, this place was looking and playing awesome.
Good course considering rainy conditions
Played for the first time and pleasantly surprised. Course was good considering the amount of rain past few days and also on the day itself. Definitely recommend to all standards of golfer
Enjoyed
Course was very dry with quick green considering the weather. All staff and members were incredibly friendly and a nice clubhouse for a beer after the game
A nice straight forward course
Wide fairways not a huge amount of rough, so a good course for mid to high handicap golfers who are not look for anything too challenging
Greens are poor sadly
This is my local course and I play a couple of times a year . Sadly the greens were bad they have lines on them filled with sand all but a couple. This did spoil the overall experience sadly and I think they should reduce the price from £25 to £20 as a gesture apart from that though enjoy the course every time and it’s good value with proper greens.
No flag in 2 holes and no rakes a numerous number of bunkers.
Great golf course usually but this time not so good. We were half way through are 3 ball and we’re about 150/175 yards away from green but no flag as reference to hit. So bit of a joke really. Then on a numerous of occasions 1 of the lads hit 2 bunkers on the same hole and no rakes were available or anywhere near the bunkers. Joke really when your paying for a service.
Nice course with views all around area.
Good course with nice views around area and out towards sea from higher points. Winter period ground repair/improvement works all completed and course in good condition. Friendly course with very welcoming staff.
Smashing course in good condition
Had a really nice day out around Blyth GC, pace was good, was let through by one group who were very friendly, as was the Pro who let me know all about the facility.
Lovely golf course
Had a good game of golf here. Course in good condition. A odd green was a little bumpy but overall a nice course. Will defiantly play here again.
Course was closed of bad weather
Hi
I paid on GolfNow to play Blyth golf course today 19/11/22 I was unaware this course was closed today because of bad weather, i tried to ring customer service but couldn’t get through for a refund if I could get help me that would be great
Thanks Craig
Very slow play
This is the course that slow players go , I have played twice now and both times it has been slow to the point of pathetic. We have never been offered to play through and I honestly think that they do not know the concept of letting quicker players in smaller group through. The 3 ball in front of us took easily over 5 minutes on multiple occasions to find lost balls, perfect opportunity to let people twiddling their thumbs on the tee to play through. This is a pity as it's a decent course, however lack of civity and manners mean we will never play there again.
