A Hidden Gem!

First time playing this course with my son and straight from the 1st tee was the wow factor! The views on some holes was just amazing. The course itself was very tight and hitting the fairway was a must, otherwise thick heather awaits any stray golf ball.

The greens were the best and fastest I've played on this year, amazing quality!

Gutted that halfway house had just closed before we reached it, and if I have to have one really minor negative comment, it would be the the tee boxes and fairways are all close to each other meaning you was in the aim of many shots!

Overall, this was amazing course and certainly one I will be recommending to friends and playing again myself..

Great Moorland Golf

We're up in Yorkshire on holiday, check in at the cottage is 3pm. The obvious thing is to fit in a round of golf beforehand.

Chose here as it is 5 minutes from our accommodation.

Arrived in plenty of time and the pro fitted us in 30 minutes early. Waited for a single to tee off and he invited me to join him.

A very enjoyable round, managed a par, and a lot that weren't...

Little gem

Great course looks short on the card but still open your arms with the driver if you wish.

Tee box/Fairway/greens all in fantastic nick.

Highly recommend

Fun Round

Very foggy morning with low visibility.16 holes open.

Pro and members we spoke to all very friendly and helpful. A Fairway mat provided which was great.

Had a garmin so could see layout of course. Greens were in good condition and couldn't be blamed for my putting.

Never played in these conditions before but really enjoyed it and will definitely return.

Didn't use off course amenities but looked good.

I would recommend this course.

Branshaw golf

Was an ominous start at bleak branshaw, tipping down with rain but we went for it. Played a 2 ball attended the shop with about 20 mins to go before allocated start time, was greeted by the pro who checked us and and directed us to the first hole. The course on the day was a mix of winter t’s and normal t boxes due to the amount of rain, the course played ok, whilst the course is quite open, you need to be accurate with your shots the gorse is unforgiving. The weather eased up and we thoroughly enjoyed our round at the course. 17th is a nice hole down the hill towards the club house. It’s a local club so will defo be back to play it again

Hidden gem

First time playing and got a bargain deal from GOLFNOW. Great course with no boring holes. I play off 8 and I played with a friend who’s been playing golf for 3 weeks. Interesting for me but not daunting for him. Will definitely play there again.

Yorkshire Gem

I have played this course on a number of occasions now, i have to travel 50 mins to get to the course but it is worth it.

The staff in the shop and the clubhouse are really friendly.

The first hole is all uphill and could make you feel like thinking what have i done. Once you get your breath back you are playing a fantastic first 9 all surrounded by moorland.

The fairways are great and greens quick and true.

The next 9 play more like a country course in length and greenery. Then there is the 17th which is all downhill to a green at the bottom.

Views are stunning.

If I had to join a club as a member this would be it. If i lived closer I would be a member by now.
