Great course

The course is situated at the top of a hill and has fabulous views. The first is a gradual climb but the rest are no different to other courses. The fairway was well kept and the greens were stunning. A dream of a course.

Lovely course with amazing views.

The course is very nice. I wasn’t held up at all on my way round. Played up behind one group and was immediately waited for on the next tee and allowed to play through and then had no one in front of me for the rest of the round.

Lots of nice forgiving holes and a couple of slightly trickier ones thrown in. Some pretty unforgiving rough on some of the holes and some nice water features make it a great place to play.

As mentioned in a few of the other reviews the greens do need a lot of work. Most aren’t much different in length to the fairways and run very slow. But apart from that a good course.

A Good Round

We were fortunate to get out ahead of a busy time. Followed by a two and then a four group then various others.

We had a ten minute start to comply with Covid regs. However on completing 9 we were two holes clear of nearest playes. The 4 group were five back.

Enough to make one feel sorry for those further back still.

Poor conditions - no value for money

Let me start by saying the staff were friendly and helpful.

The course conditions were extremely poor and the greens were as bad as I have played in a very long time. They were patchy at best, long and not treated.

The course itself was simple up and down parkland golf with no holes that had the wow factor.

For £20 a person I would not compare this to Halifax where I paid the same money the previous day.

Enjoyable course to play

Bradshaw is a good course with challenges ranging from water hazards to heather and long grass when missing the fairway. Excellent views from the course. The only negative was the condition of the greens. They were patchy and bumpy on most of the holes, the only greens good being 17 and 18. That said overall we enjoyed the course and would return in future.

Down side if Golf. Now!

We were paired with two young chaps who started the round ahead of us having not played course before. Despite being allowed out ten minutes early they were still on tee when we arrived. They then both hit the rough and spent almost ten minutes looking for their balls. No offer of play through. Once we ignored them an started our round balls were thrown down and the rushed ahead of us. On 4th they moved to 9th tee and we pointed out mistake. No thanks they ran to correct tee box, again no offer of play through they abandoned their balls on 9. We spent the rest of round waiting for them at every hole and finished about 35 mins later than we normally would.

First time in 2019

First outing of 2019.

Some inconsistencies on the greens possibly due to repairs to serious weather damage last years. The green keeps efforts are being rewarded.

New Red and Yellow Tee box on 18 makes it a new if shorter par 3. Hit it straight and you no longer need to have climbing gear to get from the Tee to the Green.

Windy weather

Lovely little hidden gem

Although on the approach it looks like the course might be very hilly and a tough walk, its relatively flat and not too long. With stunning views from pretty much every hole and a well kept little course, it was a very enjoyable round. The only issue was 2 of the greens, 14 and 15 I think were in shocking condition, it looked as though maybe animals had trampled them or something else was wrong with them, but it didnt really detract from the overall quality and condition of the course which was very good.

Peaceful

Considering the weather we have had lately, the course was in reasonable condition.

Not many players out and so able to go at a nice steady pace.

Society golf day

Played on a very windy yet sunny day and found the layout to be a great great. Greens were a little slow but this didn’t spoil the enjoyment. If you want a challenging days golf with views to die for then it’s a must. Members and staff are very friendly.
