Slow pace, crowded clurss
Lovely grounds but really crowded and very cramped. Lots of tee boxes right next to greens. Quite pricey at £28 for the round.
Overpriced for what it actually is
For how much the course is, you can go to much better places at the price.
Course layout is okay - mostly long P4’s, you play mostly around a perimeter so if you have a draw then it’s not suited to you at all. But that’s fine.
Thing that annoys me is the for the best part of £30 there’s nothing out on the course - No ball washers whatsoever, think there’s 2 bins all the way round? And no half way house.
I understand that’s not how the course plays but when you pay more for a round, these are the things you would expect at this price point.
Brilliant course
Loved it lovely course with testing greens definitely go again
Great course
The course is in a fabulous condition at the moment , both greens, fairways and tee boxes. This course is not far from the City Center but it could be miles away. It is an oasis in an urban housing estate. Credit to all who work hard to keep it in good condition
A lovely Sunday
I really enjoyed this course. The greens were in great condition. It's not a long course but it makes up for that with some narrow holes and keeps things interesting. I'll be returning!
Short course, closely pack holes
Short course with holes close together and bouncy conditions (in places it felt a bit dangerous). The pace of play was very slow we were waiting on every shot and the problem appeared to be a society some of whom could only be charitably described as occasional golfers (uncharitably they were complete hackers).
The greens putted ok but it was impossible to pitch a well struck shot onto a green and get it to stay on the green.
The off course amenities were decent and all of the staff were friendly and helpful - a credit to the club.
Chorlton golf club
A fabulous course which played well on the day. The course is in good condition. I found the course challenging and was surprised by some of the geography of the course as I anticipated it to fairly flat. Would absolutely go back and play it again. Hopefully do it justice next time around
Decent Course Worth Trying
The course is a good course for golfers of all abilities. For those of high handicaps who have played long par 3 or 9 hole courses this will be a good challenge. For low handicap golfers there will be some holes of challenge with some interesting approach shots and good paced greens. Unfortunately our round was tainted by the 3 slow playing members in front who wouldn't let us as a quick playing 2 ball through. Also a 2 ball jumped in front of us to slow us and the group behind us down.
Excellent layout and staff
Love this course and it’s playing in great condition with plenty of work going on to 8,prove tees and paths. Greens in great shape and will return several times this summer.
Standard course
Played this course a while ago and wasn’t too sure why we hadn’t been back. Didn’t take long to realise why! Although the course was in decent condition the holes are quite standard. Didn’t stand on one tee and think this is a great hole. Actually we didn’t stand on any tees because the man in the pro shop didn’t tell us that all the tees were temp! On top of that some of the mats you were expected to play off were very poor and other tees were just stuck in the middle of no where which changed the whole layout of the course. Couldn’t see any reason why we were no allowed to play off original tees. To top it off there was an arrogant member who felt the need to shout their course etiquette requirements. This happened last time we were here. I’ve played on courses in Europe and England and never experienced snobbery like this. Will definitely not be going back, ever.
