This is a great course very good valve for money and with the rain last week it’s even better the greens are great and hold the ball really good

Course in very good order with stunning scenery in most directions. The course presents a challenging & true test of golf due to significant elevation changes, inclined fairways and some tricky blind shots onto elevated & relatively small greens. Some holes are a bit punishing, especially so if your drives and approach shots aren’t 100% accurate – it’s all too easy to turn a birdie or par opportunity into a bogey or even a double bogey if you aren’t paying attention! On a slightly negative note – our group was on the 1st tee precisely on time but the group ahead of us were still waiting to tee off due to the group in front of them having teed off very late – we had to wait circa 20 mins to tee off which in turn delayed the group behind us – I respectfully suggest that the course officials need to look into this as it will annoy some visitors if it is a regular occurrence. Also, the visitors parking area is on a steeply inclined grassed area up a fairly steep part made track – this could be a difficulty for some visitors.

Course very steep don’t even thinking of playing if you don’t have a trolley or hire a buggie.

This is the best course we have played since lock down opened the Ter boxes and fairway great and greens fantastic

As a greenkeeper myself I was very surprised to see all 18 greens on normal greens for this time of year. With the amount of rain we have had in the past week the course was wet in places which was to be expected. Overall very pleased and cant wait to be back in the summer!

First time round this course and really enjoyed it. Some really challenging holes. Greens were in great condition and winter tees all well maintained. Course is well signposted as well which is great for visitors. Less physically fit people will require a Buggy as the last four holes are all uphill And very challenging.

Greens and fairways in very good condition - it was very windy when we were playing which made play difficult but the round was enjoyable all the same. The party in front of us [who were using buggies] were a bit slow but it didn't effect play to much. The only negative aspect is the road into the course and the visitors access road & hillside car park - the club needs to think about carrying out some pot hole repairs - if you are in a low riding sports car please take note!

Course in good condition, well presented and views across the North Pennines are spectacular. Warning to those with medical conditions: the final 5 holes from No. 14 onward back to the club house involve ascending some quite steep hills - make sure you rent a buggy if this is likely to be a problem.

The course has a wonderful layout and the most spectacular views throughout. A mixture of open and tree lined fairways which are all very well maintained. Greens could be better but in no way spoiled the round.

Some may find the course rather hilly in places, but this also adds interest and appeal.
