As a greenkeeper myself I was very surprised to see all 18 greens on normal greens for this time of year. With the amount of rain we have had in the past week the course was wet in places which was to be expected. Overall very pleased and cant wait to be back in the summer!

Definitely one to play again.

First time round this course and really enjoyed it. Some really challenging holes. Greens were in great condition and winter tees all well maintained. Course is well signposted as well which is great for visitors. Less physically fit people will require a Buggy as the last four holes are all uphill And very challenging.

Consett 13/09/2020

Greens and fairways in very good condition - it was very windy when we were playing which made play difficult but the round was enjoyable all the same. The party in front of us [who were using buggies] were a bit slow but it didn't effect play to much. The only negative aspect is the road into the course and the visitors access road & hillside car park - the club needs to think about carrying out some pot hole repairs - if you are in a low riding sports car please take note!

Course in good condition, well presented and views across the North Pennines are spectacular. Warning to those with medical conditions: the final 5 holes from No. 14 onward back to the club house involve ascending some quite steep hills - make sure you rent a buggy if this is likely to be a problem.

Well maintained course with the most magnificent views

The course has a wonderful layout and the most spectacular views throughout. A mixture of open and tree lined fairways which are all very well maintained. Greens could be better but in no way spoiled the round.

Some may find the course rather hilly in places, but this also adds interest and appeal.

A great round of golf.

Excellent Golf Course

Played on the 13th of March when it had rained quite heavily. Honestly cannot fault this golf course as the conditions (water logged in parts) were reflected in the price of £9 per person which is fantastic value for money. There are a few challenging holes and course is hilly to get around. There are also some excellent tree lined holes with views for miles. Every member that we spoke with was friendly and welcoming. Great course that we will definitely play again! Highly recommended!

A hilly gem

Always enjoy playing at Consett. It's a challenging course and hard work at times going up some steep hills. An electric trolley is essential unless you young and fit. A few of the holes are a bit tight with the 1st and 18th essentially sharing a fairway, unless you're good enough to drive the 280 yard 18th.A great golf course with stunning views. Highly recommended.

Lovely course.

Consett is a beautiful, very well kept course. The greens were top class, and the fairways were great to hit off (when I hit the fairway) . The clubhouse could have done with air con or at least some fans. But a very enjoyable day.

Hidden gem.

Consett golf course is hidden down a little back lane and would easy to miss. But what a beautiful course. It was fairly busy when we played but the pace kept going and we were rarely held up. The tees were level and flat. The fairways were great to play off and the greens immaculate. It was the second time we'd played and it won't be the last. A nice pint and a toastie to finish off with. Everyone was really friendly. Highly recommended.

Great course

Great course, doesn’t get the recognition it should!! Not stupidly priced for a hard and testing knock. Real challenging course, never have a flat lie or normal approach. Either hitting down or up into a green!! Little tip, everything kicks left!!
