Course is well laid out and is very scoreable. Unfortunately the weather has taken its toll on the course, with the recent wet weather the keepers have struggled to maintain the course properly. Would recommend to others but come when it’s dry.

Linden Hall Golf Club

A tremendous course spoilt by the management and owners who have neglected this beautiful course for years now. Every hole is a pleasure and all the holes different to one another. Only thing that spoils it is the total neglect of the course. Fairways uncut and rough is far to long at least 3-4 inches high. Greens full of sand they’ve never been watered in weeks and never been cut since last year. Wish I was a millionaire I’d take this place over and turn it into the gem it should have always been.

Course conditions

The course is in a bad way, most fairways are boggy and your balls are plugging all the time. The greens are in a dire state, they have been spike for the winter and not back filled. When your paying £55 per person its not really worth it. Lovely course when properly maintained.

Bad winter golf experience

Course was in very bad condition. I don't think it should have been open at all. Our group spent more time looking for balls in and around the fairways than spent playing. The ground was so waterlogged that balls hit down the middle of the holes were disappearing, plugged into the ground.

The course layout looks promising aside from there being next to no signage, we may try again in the summer.

Clubhouse, shop and staff were great.

Very poor condition despite being assured before booking that the course is in great condition.

Nothing can be done about the amount of rain we are getting but we had travelled 1 1/2 hours on the assumption that the conditions were good and not all winter tees in the fairways and 4 temporary greens in the 13 holes we played.

Some nice par 3’s may try again in summer

Linden Golf

Whilst we enjoyed the course (apart from the boggy mud in places) but £40 each for a round is overly expensive. Staff were great in the shop and the halfway house but it is difficult to see where the next tee direction is and we have actually played the course before and first time got very confused. A member of staff, on that occasion, helped us more than once!

Beautiful setting and stunning course

Turned up at 3:30, and nobody was at the clubhouse, so played the course for the first time blind with no scorecard and not able to hire a buggy. It’s a good 8000 yard course as the walks between holes is too far. saying that I would definitely pay the course again as it was good value for money and some cracking holes.

Sunny day for golf

Late booking for a fourball but no issues, first tee just a short walk from shop and straight off.

Course in very good condition and all four of us enjoyed the course.

Used to play this course a few times a year. Great layout with great holes. However, drastically gone downhill. Hardly any sand in bunkers, tee boxes extremely scruffy and worst of all massive drainage issues across whole of course. You’d lose a ball in the fairway due to it being plugged. Unfortunately avoid.

Great layout poor maintenance

Played here in Feb 2023, cannot fault the layout of the holes, with some stunning par 3s and a good challenge all round. Greens were well maintained but fairways and paths between holes were often in standing water. Some paths between were almost impossible to get through, 2 inches of slippy mud in places.

We followed a very slow 3 ball and had to pick up huge divots every hole after them too. That being said the price I payed was worth the course

Round with Friends

Love playing here. Winter conditions now so quite muddy fairways but greens tip top as usual. There was no wind so that helped. Its a very challenging course but will worth the money. Beautiful setting.
