Great course

Course in great condition, a bit of a hidden gem very close to the city centre. Pace of play was great at three hours. Some really challenging holes, rough was punishing but fairways weren't tight.

Nice course convenient for city area.

Course is largely level and provides nice views of Newcastle and surrounding areas. Undulating ground can result in unexpected ball bounces but all part of the challenge of golf! Overall a very good course with a relaxed feel and good clubhouse facilities. Weather on the day warm and sunny which helped ... My score didn't!

Winter golf…

First time at this course as my playing partner couldn’t travel far from Newcastle today.

Must of had 12/14 winter greens, that were shocking. There was no mention of this anywhere when we arrived or a heads up in the shop.

Fairways hadn’t been looked after, a mess actually. 12 holes at least were just bland, nothing going on and to top it off, dog walkers on the course. Even for £12 I wouldn’t go back

Nice course!

Great value for money with Golf Now, challenging course on a very windy November morning. Nice wide forgiving fairways

You get what you pay for, cheap

Cheap round, 2nd shots are a lottery due to ripples on the fairways, leading to terrible lies, very frustrating if you drive well and have an unfair lie for your 2nd.

Well looked after course

The course is in good condition. The undulating ground caused problems with the lie but did not detract too much from the game.

Disappointing Greens

Was a little disappointed to find all greens hole 1 to 18 were fully sanded and had holes poked.

Some tee boxes were not maintained and like hitting out of the rough.

Overall a decent experience.

Bumpy ride

Overall a good long course with some challenging holes , only downside is the ridges on the fairways , after walking over them for 18 holes my knees were a bit achey they reminded me of corrugated iron sheets . Plus side is the greens very fast and true & and good par 5s and long par fours .

I will play there again good value and friendly players and staff didn’t use the clubhouse though.

Green green grass

Had a round at Newcastle United with Tom, The course was on really good condition considering the summer we have had followed by a couple of days of torrential rain. Greens were great and the whole place well looked after.. May sound daft but links feel in the middle of a city.

Couple of weird bounces due to the undulations which also play havoc with my knees.

Shop good friendly helpful as was everyone we met out on the course.

Rough is a knock out if your lucky. Definitely would play again.
