Nice flat course

nice flat course perfect for me shame its not closer, well kept and some easier holes due to its flat course layout

not worth the £40 usual fees when thornhurst manor is a stones throw away and £10 on tuesdays and thursdays similar course being flat and layout so for the price thornhurst wins shame owston dont do something similar as would be able to choose between the two as both are suitable for me but at the price it pushes me away

Tough course gorgeous setting

This is a tough course but in lovely condition.super greens and fairways. But the rough is thick and trees are placed in horrible places on most holes it's hard enough hitting fairways without a massive oak tree 🌳 in the way.Got the round for 19 quid so can't grumble and it's set in beautiful grounds well worth it for price.

Ideal for a higher handicap

Much I proved conditions since last playing here; over a year ago. Small details added to the course have made it much more enjoyable to play. Greens are all well maintained with little to no divot damage. Just about good value if you can get a discounted round.

Short course with some interesting challenges thrown in.

After being reluctant to play due to a recent price increase, I'll now be looking to come back again soon.

Fun Course But Pricey

Played this course for years, rounds costing less than £30. It's fine for that price, I've seen prices listed for £40/£50/£100, in my opinion if you're paying that sort of money there's a lot better courses out there (and in Doncaster there's cheaper courses that are more fun and sometimes in better condition)

Shorter course

The course plays off black tees which are much shorter than the whites or yellows as the colder weather has kicked in but still worth playing

Owston Hall Golf course

Owston was surprisingly good for the time of the year, there was very little mud, we played on the black tees so the course was much shorter but we enjoyed the round with score much lower than normal. We play golf around the Sheffield area normally and I’m sure using Golf Now we will be back when the prices are low.

Better

First time iv played the course since last year and it was a lot better especially the greens i can tell the green staff have been busy as its definitely in better condition. Not sure about the hefty prices though which is why iv not played it since last year. Its in the same price category as wheatley, Doncaster, Selby but definitely not as good. I would play again at the right price

Owston Hall, Robin Hood Course

We had a great round, course is in good condition rough is high.. food was lovely but expensive. Greens were reasonable quick. There was very few players on the course, so there was no rush.

Good Course.

Good beginner to average player course, nice clean and well kept fairways and greens I would have given five stars but for lack of ball cleaning facilities around the course. The course would benefit from some equipment cleaning facilities and also a driving range would be beneficial.
