Shorter course

The course plays off black tees which are much shorter than the whites or yellows as the colder weather has kicked in but still worth playing

Owston Hall Golf course

Owston was surprisingly good for the time of the year, there was very little mud, we played on the black tees so the course was much shorter but we enjoyed the round with score much lower than normal. We play golf around the Sheffield area normally and I’m sure using Golf Now we will be back when the prices are low.

Better

First time iv played the course since last year and it was a lot better especially the greens i can tell the green staff have been busy as its definitely in better condition. Not sure about the hefty prices though which is why iv not played it since last year. Its in the same price category as wheatley, Doncaster, Selby but definitely not as good. I would play again at the right price

Owston Hall, Robin Hood Course

We had a great round, course is in good condition rough is high.. food was lovely but expensive. Greens were reasonable quick. There was very few players on the course, so there was no rush.

Good Course.

Good beginner to average player course, nice clean and well kept fairways and greens I would have given five stars but for lack of ball cleaning facilities around the course. The course would benefit from some equipment cleaning facilities and also a driving range would be beneficial.

Dad Son day out.

I really enjoy playing here. Excellent mature course, a veritable pleasure to walk around. And a major improvement for us was the distance markers, finally.

The clubhouse is a wonderful building, excellent bar, and a dining area.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day, even if I did play very average golf. Though only me to blame.

And a very well priced tee off time.

Brilliant all round.

😀👍

Excellent course, great layout, greens where in fantastic condition. We had a friendly welcome in the pro shop (visitors aren’t treated any different) only negative is the tee boxes need some attention. Would definitely play again

Owston

As you drive in it’s a beautiful looking hall, parking was ok and close to the first tee. There is a beautiful pond with some nice koi carp in. The course is in beautiful nick and is well looked after. It’s quite a good course for a new golfer as the holes are a nice length but not too long. The green are nice and flat to start off with as you start playing the course. As you go through the gates to some of the later holes the greens and lay up to them are more challenging and there are some water hazards which I really liked. I brilliant course for the price and will definitely be going back even though it took about an hour to get too for me.
