Owston Hall Golf Resort

Played for the first time , after heavy rain the day before the course was in good condition . The course is ok and would play again but not one i would play regularly

This is a course laid out in the grounds of an estate. There is no irrigation, the greens are bumpy and full of fusarium. The fairways are hard with a fair sprinkling of everything but grass. It was enjoyable enough but would not return.

played this course about 6 times in the last six weeks,, its got a lot better in this time frame and now i think its the best its been for some time,, a little bit more work to be done yes but overall its very good and enjoyable,,

Enjoyed the round, first time at Owston. Greens need a bit of work but great value for money. Staff very friendly.

Always super busy, the pace of play is therefore not the greatest.

However, overall the course is in good condition with a nice mix of topography.

One extremely strange point about the course is that the tees are generally not numbered (16/18 Holes) and there are no yardages or general info about the hole. Very strange Indeed.

There is also A LOT of rubbish around the course. Some beer bottles were in the same place the last time we visited the course in May.

It's not a bad course, just need some TLC and some general tidying.

Greens need improving but apart from that it’s a lovely course. Some forgiving fairways and some challenging holes.

OK for a one off days play.. Some of the greens are a bit run down and the tee box on 6 needs cutting. Other than that OK.

My wife and I have just started playing golf and this course is the ideal starting course. With it being flat and forgiving to a certain level It’s nice to build your confidence.

The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly.

It was a shame we couldn’t play the full 18 holes as the gates are locked at 5pm for 11th to 15th hole but we were invited to play any other holes to make it up so that was a very nice touch. We just need to play faster next time that one was on us as we started at 2pm but didn’t make it through.

We will definitely be revisiting this course so long as this review doesn’t get us banned lol!.

Greens rock solid even after rain night before and a few greens needed repair but other than that really good course

Really nice course apart from greens which were shocking, friendly staff, nice pint after. Won’t be playing again anytime soon because of the greens which is a shame.

Staff in pro shop very miserable 2 different members before and after the round both drained the life out of you!.

Greens like concrete and patchy bunkers again need attention.

Would play again highlight of the day Morretti on draught. Bar staff very friendly.

Not told when booking following an over 70s 4 ball comp took 6 hours waiting 20 mins every tee off never going again or using golf now unless you refund my money confirmation number 336097673 time 12.56 you are obviously not in touch with the golf courses that make you money and the players suffer.
