What a fantastic golf venue a must play for all handycaps great club house and staff

Nearly got levelled on 16th with idiot teeing off from 17th and driving down wrong fairway with no vocal warning . Did eventually apologise after some blue language . Said they were playing a comp . So what they should no the golf code . Also kids jumping on greens practicing in front of us and slightly put us off . Would still recommend course as it a nice enough challenge.

I played here for the first time 3 weeks ago and just had to come back as soon as I could. Not being a member of any course means I play a lot of different ones in the north east and the greens here are the best I’ve ever putted on. There are some brilliant holes, some long par 3s and 4s but some really interesting short par 3s and 4s as well that require a bit of thinking about. The course is very hilly so there are many blind tee shots which made it difficult the first time I played but second time around it was fine. Members I met were really helpful - when they overheard it was my first time playing they took the time to show me the layout and even stopped mid round to ask how I was getting on. Such a good course and in brilliant condition I have already booked to play next week as well!

First time playing here, lovely course. Set out over 3 fields. Greens fast and difficult to read but very nice. Fairways bit up and down similar to a links course. Not a lot of long grass about. Definitely play here again

Despite heavy rain, course was in brilliant condition. I have been many times and will continue to do so, excellent price for a lovely course

Although unknowingly booked a tee time during a competition, pace of play is always good. Previous damage closing 2nd hole now repaired and open. Challenging course with a wayward tee shot, will definitely be hiring buggy in future

Really enjoyed the round, only played the course once before during the winter when the weather was poor so great to see the course in a good condition

Decent course, only seen two other groups playing so nice and quiet. Couple of winter greens and some boggy parts to the course , but nice to get out.

The staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. Explained the winter greens and described the course for us.

Started as a two ball but quickly joined the two in front to enhance the round. Quick drink in the bar to finish off but I’ll definitely be back in the spring and summer to enjoy more rounds.

Upon arriving to the clubhouse we were greeted by the man in the club shop who explained which holes were open and closed and the winter greens. The course condition considering the rain was very good and it had around half of the greens open and in great condition. The staff and members of the club were very welcoming and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Interesting course with quirky holes a real challenge

I was a member here until my knee surgery 2 years ago. 1st time back since and it's just as good as I remember. Greens were in really good condition and fairways despite the rain we have had. If you are walking the course it will give you a good workout as it is quite hilly in places but gives a good test of your golf skills.

Staff were very friendly and great value for money. course was n excellent condition and not very bust . . had a great round . . . thank you

Played today as managed to get a hot deal and wanted to play here for a while. The staff were friendly enough despite having a large party in the bar area.

The course was in good condition, hilly in places. Layout was a bit confusing, luckily I had groups in front of me to show me where to go. Some tricky holes.

The thing that left a sour taste was the members, some were really rude. Not sure if it was because I was a solo female player or what.

I will only return if I can't get a tee time elsewhere which is a shame as I was enjoying it until the members spoilt it.
