Excellent course

5th time I’ve played here and it’s been brilliant every time I’ve been. The course is in great condition and the greens are very good. Some brutal par 3s that are really long for the average handicapper but that adds to the challenge! All in all a brilliant place and well worth the £20 I paid.

Nice corse with great greens

First time I’ve played ravensworth and have to say I really enjoyed it. Definitely a thinking golfers corse, Greens were also In great condition. Not the easiest of corses with it being quite tight but a good challenge. The guy in the proshop gave us some advice before we started which I thought was nice and very helpful. Looking forward to my next visit

Very slow play!

I was playing as part of a two ball, None of the groups in front would let anybody play through. It was very frustrating having to wait at each tee box.

Golf game

Played with a friend yesterday at Ravensworth. The course was in godd condition although the greens had been recently tuned and sanded they were still quick and will only get quicker approaching the summer. This course was excellent value for the money and we will certainly return in the future.

Good value, decent course

Overall happy, great value at £12.99. Course condition pretty decent considering the time of year. No temp greens though all 18 holes were temp tees, this made the course play a lot shorter. The greens were very very weird, they looked decent, stopped well and the ball rolled well but the weird thing was how they felt under foot. It was like walking on a water bed or a giant blister.

I'm putting it down to average drainage and the time of year. Don't let these negative points stop you playing, it's a good overall course now and as it dries out will get much better and at £12.99 value is off the chart. Only other niggle was hole info and lack of good directions to many of the holes. A little guesswork was often required. Still a def recommend.

Good course but greens and pace of play frustrated.

The course and facilities are good with the North end of the course being especially unique and interesting. However, our visit was frustrated by greens which looked good from a distance but were oddly spongy, uneven and very inconsistent to play on possibly to the extend that they need hollow tining, sanding & rolling again which isn't ideal at this time of year. Also whilst the initial pace of play was good we caught up with a four ball that had teed off a full half hour before us by the time we reached the 5th hole - our group and two groups behind us had to pace ourselves for the remainder of the game and were stood waiting for quite a considerable duration on the back nine. Perhaps the club can look at providing some form of incentive for very slow groups to pick later p.m. tee times when the course is a bit quieter?

Quirky layout

1st time playing and extremely happy i did, played as a solo but joined up with an older gentleman after catching up slower players,by the 4th he had to leave after 9 holes so cracked on by myself and caught a 4 ball up on the 10th,they let me through which was great, overall a fine day weather wise, great new course to play and cant fault the clubhouse with a great suntrap balcony overlooking the 18th

Pace of play may be an issue

Despite the chill of winter, the course at Ravensworth Golf Club was in exceptional condition and far exceeded my expectations. The staff were extremely welcoming, which made for a great experience from the start.

The course itself boasts some fantastic holes, featuring very tight fairways and plenty of elevation changes that provide a challenging yet enjoyable round. It’s also very well priced, and I’d definitely return.

My only slight negative observation was regarding the pace of play later in the morning. I was fortunate to have one of the first tee times of the day, but by around 8–9 o’clock, it appeared quite backed up—a situation that might be frustrating for later tee times.

Overall, a great course and well worth a visit!

Friendly welcome

Greeted with a friendly welcome . Explained the course layout and facilities. Quiet at the time, the morning rush over. We had a great day out with many long fairways &.a mix as expected . The course was good for the time of year. especially after frost and rain.

Will definitely go back.

Nice club house having an open mic night fot the first time in a week's time

This course has very good feature

This course is a really good course for a day out and good exercise with some of the hills the staff are very friendly. The only issue is the layout with going through gates where we got lost a couple times trying to find which hole we were going to but overall a very nice recommend it to others
