Richmond Golf Club

A really good day, loads of hard work going on to keep the course playable through the recent wet weather. Front 9 payed quickly, back 9 slowed as we caught up with others.

Cse layout could be improved to stop some tee shots having to go over other fairways and greens.

Good cse, friendly staff and all in all a really good experience. Will be back to play again soon.

Second time playing here in the past year, and we’ve still yet to play it in decent weather! The course is well kept, no mown grass left, greens play very well and it’s challenging enough to reward both big hitters and good percentage golfers.

One downside was a two-ball behind who teed off far too early and were on our heels for the first 12 - we had a 4 in front, no worth in letting them through - before seemingly giving up due to the light rain. The tee box for the 14th is in a poor location on a busy day since the line is directly over the 13th green... Not sure why it’s been moved from right of the 13th fairway. And while walking down the 14th fairway after hitting drives, one wayward pitch from the two behind narrowly missed me, with no call of fore. We were glad to see them give up and go in.

We saw them in the clubhouse from the 18th green and decided against a drink in the bar - clearly some members need reminding they don’t own the course.

Besides that, we had a good round, shot some low scores and enjoyed our time. And for £17 each through GolfNow, it was great value too.

Course was I. Good condition despite the recent bad weather, wet in places but mostly ok , greens in good condition and tough

Excellent round yesterday, course was still in great condition for the time of the year. Lots of interesting holes here that have been well thought out. Very few are simply straight and uninteresting. Pace of play was ok, and all of the 4 balls were very chatty and happy to waive me through, allowing me to get round in 2h45 despite it being relatively busy.

Other than my score, a very enjoyable day

Very scenic course.with a good variety of holes. Unfortunately got stuck behind a ladies competition and the round took over 4.5 hours to play. On the plus side it was a beautiful day and we were in no hurry! Will definitely return for another game here.

Round was up£15, also Hired a push trolley (£5), bit surprisEd that graeme storm’s pro shop would not accept a credit card payment, I had to go & get cash back from the bar, course/greens in good nick for the time of year, layout, not too long or testing.

V undulating fairways & it also paid to be below the hole or risk putting it off the greens.

Enjoyable round, I would go back.

Really well laid out interesting and beautiful course , greens are tricky but in great condition , really friendly staff an absolute bargain at £15 can’t recommend highly enough

I don’t believe I live 30 minutes away from this course and have never played it absolute belter great course. The clubhouse was good friendly staff and well payed out for the “ virus “. All in all a good day was had by all

A small and compact course but with some great holes. Undulating and lots of rise and falls but really enjoyed it. Will definitely be back again.

Really nice course and in good playing condition for late October, very friendly welcome in pro shop and club house, would definitely recommend, will definitely play again in summer

Really enjoyed playing Richmond. Unfortunately I played it when the weather, a few days before, had been very wet. I enjoyed the course however it was extremely wet. I was surprised the course was open. Would like to play it again when it’s dry. Great food and friendly staff. Thanks

We played at 10am on Monday morning , the course was excellent and the help in the pro shop was also excellent

After a friendly welcome from the secretary then the young man in the Pro shop we enjoyed a challenging round of golf with 5 Par 3's and a few blind shots. This is a well kept established undulating Tree lined course with nice Fairways and Greens. I would have no complaint if I had to pay double what I paid to play the course. If you have not played Richmond then you are missing out.

Very friendly staff and members make you feel welcome to visit. Good value food and a comfortable club house and sunny terrace.

Course has plenty of variation and challenging approaches. Undulating landscape is well maintained with sensible fringes around the fairways that allow some variation before the trees punish you.

Great course. Will definitely play here again. Managed to book the hot tee time for £10 and found it an absolute bargain. Greens were true and well maintained and there are a few blind tees shots too, which add to the challenge.

Booked this course late on the night before play under a hot deal on tee off times, cheap to play and all of the course in perfect condition, something for all from tricky par 3s to open long holes for the big hitters. Will be returning.
