Rishton Golf Club

Played the course as a junior over a decade ago, lovely to see how the course has developed, the 18th is a brilliant edition! The 9th/17th is still as challenging as ever for the high handicapper. Playing a mixture of winter and summer greens was rather a strange feeling, will definitely be trying to get a round during the summer months again to play that 1st/10th green. Clubhouse was not open but personally loved seeing the memorial benches and taking a minute to reflect on people I did once know. A damp day but still left with a smile on my face!

Played 2nd January have played here before in summer and nice 9 hole course however due to a lot of rain it wasn’t really playable.all winter greens and very wet.tried to ring course and couldn’t get through to find out if it was open with no answer.probably wouldn’t have travelled and played if known the circumstances as we were the only ones on the course.was also told by a couple of members that they had been on winter greens since end of November think golf now should be aware of these things and should inform there members

A course is A+ for practice. It is C for challenge.

An interesting eleven hole layout. The course was very quiet, well maintained with very good green quality.

Great little course. Well laid out great greens.Some holes a challenge but very enjoyable would recommend to play. The only criticism and I'm nit picking is the grass cuttings left in the semi rough.

Quality lil track for the price you pay. Jus take food n drinks with you as it’s hit n miss if the bar clubshop will be open

Quite well laid out for a 9 (11?) hole course but would be wary of playing on a busy day as I can imagine tee congestion and cross play. Some interesting holes and the greens were well maintained.

Club house closed on our return but it was a wet Monday morning

Some of the best greens we have played on as well as interesting holes. Always have ball washers on each tee that are fully functional with towels... Really enjoyed it and will be back.

One particular green keeper disappointed....he did not pay attention as we waited to hit the ball on the green...had ear phones in so even if we had shouted’ ‘4’ he would not have heard us.....was oblivious to us...even at the green where he was mowing there was no eye contact or friendliness...a poor reflection on what is a wonderful course.

nice course in great condition will definitely play again. only downside came off course at 1145am and no staff around and no clubhouse open for a pint and lunch and it was Sunday
