Great value
Lovely course in lovely surroundings. At first cue it looks very hilly but the walk isn’t that difficult some great holes especially the 9th all in all great value 9 hole course in good condition well worth a visit. Hopefully we will be returning
Annoyed
Turned up happy to be playing. Was met by a very nice bloke who told us about the course and signed us in. No pro shop??. Was then informed we would be playing temp greens which was just a flag stuck in an oversized hole not mowed 6 of the 9 greens could have been played on the other 3 were wet which is fair enough it's just down to laziness. Walked off after 9. Went to darwen 10 mins away paid £10 for a round full greens amazing. Courses are worlds apart. My advice would be to go darwen, pro shop good food friendly staff
Great vfm
Bumped into the president before playing and he made us feel really welcoming. The conditions were wet and windy and we only played with wonder greens but had the course to ourselves. Great value for money with some nice challenging holes.
Nice Course
Played there twice now, for the price you pay there is no way you can complain.
The staff are friendly, the course is a nice challenge and in great condition.
Cannot inform about clubhouse as I never used it
Give it ago
Great little course would recommend to go give it ago, played Sunday morning 10-30 tee time think there was only about 6 people on the course. Although it’s a 9 hole course played the different tee positions to make it a good little 18 holes on a Sunday and for a £10 I think you will be pleasantly surprised
Well presented.
Good test of golf. Some uphill approaches require more club than you think. Will play again.
Nice 9 hole course
Challenging but forgiving. Long wide fairways but tricky greens. Played for first time and will play again
IDIOTS PLAYING BEHIND ME
I AM HOPING THIS IS A ONE OFF INCIDENT BOTH MY SON AND MYSELF HAD 2 IDOITS PLAYING BEHIND US BUT HAS SOON HAS WE HAD TEED OFF AND WALKED TOWARDS THE SECOND SHOT THEY HAD TEED OF AT ONE POINT ON THE 4TH HOLE I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE HIT WITH HIS GOLF BALL WE TRIED TO PLAY FASTER PUT IT CONTINUED SO BOTH ME AND MY SON DECIDED TO PLAY THE FIRST 9 HOLES AND GO HOME THATS THE BAD POINT THE GOOD POINTS IS THE COURSE WAS FIRST CLASS AND ALL THE OTHERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND YES I WILL BE COMING BACK TO PLAY AGAIN
Neat and tidy 9 holes
2 of us played the course for the 1st time last Sunday, to be fair the course is well kept, reasonably challenging and we got great value for money.
I would definitely recommend it to anyone sure its only 9 holes but you could play the 18 and their are some different tee's to do that.
Overall I'd personally give it a thumbs up and will 100% play the course in the future.
The course was in great condition
First time I played here and didn’t realise it was a 9 hole course. But I really enjoyed it! It’s very hilly and not the longest when playing off winter tees but once it’s at full playing conditions it’s a test for anyone
Beautiful Views
The course is high up to its surrounding location, which creates excellent views, fro some of the fairways, when the wind blows the course it much more difficult, the layout has nice holes, would recommend to any level, it is not a very difficult course, but it is also not easy when playing into the wind
Pleasantly surprised
We played on a Sunday afternoon and the course wasn't busy.
Despite the lack of rain the course was in excellent condition greens were well kept and
fast.
As it is only an 11 hole course some holes are played twice from different tee positions
I was really pleased with the course and experience and will highly recommend the course
Disappointing
The highlight of the course is the greens which are really well kept (spoilt on the day as some greens were soaking wet). The club house was closed on the day we went and no shop on site so nobody about to welcome you and let you know about the course. Club house and 18th next to each other, but the rest of the course is on the other side of the motorway. There's only 11 greens so some shared tees and greens so gets a bit congested at times. Sadly won't be revisiting
Pleasant round
Effectively this is an 11 hole course, 8 of which you play twice albeit from slightly different tee boxes. Deapite this, it was in good condition and it's certainly not your typical "9 holes". Pretty forgiving from the tee with wide fairways and little trouble, but nice turf, lovely views and some good holes. Greens good although they looked as though they'd been dyed for a greener look which was slightly odd. If it was busy it'd be tough given only 11 holes to spread the players over. Overall, I'd play again for a leisurely round, especially given the green fee of less than a fiver!
A good but challenging course
The terrain makes this course challenging being set on the hills of Blackburn. Some of the shorter holes are very tricky as they are protected by bunkers. A very pleasant round.
